Change we can believe in?
So we have a new US President who speaks of changing not only his home country but the world too. Is it something we can believe in? Is he going to be able to bring peace and prosperity to the world? One would like to think so but of course (and here's the "but") it all depends on us. He is only one man and we are many. True leadership must come from within each and everyone of us. So what changes are we likely to see? Here are a few thoughts you might like to consider...

The Big Picture
It seems to me that our society is heading in a precarious direction. We seem to be facing increasing poverty, starvation on a mass scale, global warming and not to mention the devastating wars that are increasingly effecting us all. It seems we're moving into a time of powerful transition. Yes the times really are changing.

However, it's not until we take the spiritual perspective - the top down view - that we're ever really going to understand exactly what's going on in terms of the "Big Picture". I make it my business to live in a place of multi-dimensionality - experiencing multiple realms of reality simultaneously. I believe from direct experience this is the divine gift our society has taken away. How do I know this? Well I observe it not just through my own journey but also the others we work with on courses, retreats, workshops and one-on-one. When people let go of society's conditioning, they really begin to open up and experience the "Big Picture".

And from all of the feedback I'm consistently getting, it's all about our Ascension. The consciousness of Mother Earth - "Gaia" - is due to complete a 20 year cycle she began in 1992. It is the movement of her centre of consciousness into the 5th Dimensional Realm. It will complete at the end of 2011. "Wow!!!" do I hear you say? "Sounds a bit like StarTrek - how is anyone supposed to believe in that?"

Well I'm not asking anyone to believe it. I'm simply suggesting that we open up to see a bigger perspective on world events and then see for ourselves. Yes the darkness seems to be intensifying but also there's an incredible influx of light too - many, many people are now awakening across the planet to discover what it really means to be Human.

What will this shift of consciousness mean for us?
Well the answer to this question can already be seen all around us. The shift in Gaia's consciousness is now more than 75% complete. So what can we see? Well its pretty clear to me that there is a separation of light and dark occurring across our planet mirroring the separation of consciousness within Gaia herself. So as her centre moves to the higher vibration, there is increasingly less of her in the 3rd Dimension. In other words this plane gets denser.

I believe this is one of the main causes of Global Warming and the seismic weather changes - it's caused by the release of energy which will accelerate over time. It's an entirely natural and scientific planetary phenomenon. Let me be clear, unlike some, I don't for one moment believe the world is going to end in 2012, its just that this plane of consciousness will probably get increasingly dense and inhospitable.

So those who are unwilling or unable to attune to the light, will experience a growing sense of insecurity as they inwardly perceive the movement of consciousness away from them. I believe this is mirrored by the struggle to manipulate and control our dwindling natural resources for example oil, coal and gas.

So this plane of consciousness is likely to become increasingly unstable and the degree to which populations struggle and fight to control the changes - which is ultimately futile - will be a direct measure of the degree of suffering humanity faces in this plane. And no American president no matter how benevolent will be able to change that - unless that is, he takes the spiritual perspective and invites us all to do the same.

So what is the spiritual perspective that will help us?
The key is to move out of the mind and into the heart. To reconnect with the true feelings of our humanity. Then to let go of the need for an outcome in this plane of consciousness - accept that we cannot change it since we are a mere microcosm in an infinite ocean of consciousness. That ocean is moving in a particular direction - why resist it?

So when we've surrendered in this way, we will begin to re-align with the natural flow of the Universe which acts in every moment, through every situation in our lives no matter how big or small. When we get dressed in the morning, are we actually present as we do up our zipper or buttons? How much energy are we using? How tight and closed to the fullness of the moment are we inside? When we're showering, do we take the time to feel the effect of the water on our skin and the energies flowing through our body? When we eat our breakfast, are we truly tasting and sensing every mouthful? As you're reading this, are you aware of your body and surroundings too?

And on the way to work, are we lost in thoughts of what we have to do today, or are we watching what's going on around us - the movement of clouds for example or the song of the birds, the scent of flowers, the synchronistic signs on a passing bus. And then do we ask "how does that make me feel inside?" Or do we pass it off as just another experience?

EVERY SINGLE event in our lives no matter how big or small has a deeper purpose and meaning. Nothing happens by chance. There are no ordinary moments. All circumstances no matter how seemingly insignificant invite us to open up inside and find a new level of sensitivity - our new truth.

If we fully engage in the moment, then we start to perceive the truth of the moment and the heart begins to open more fully. It's then that we truly begin to feel guidance from the Universe as a simple inner knowing or a pull through the heart. We're guided to do things - to situations that invite us to make a choice: either to give in to the conditioning that has influenced and dis-empowered us all our lives; or instead choose our highest truth - no matter what the apparent personal cost.

SAT Nav
So in our relationships for example and in our interactions with people, do we have the courage to be honest and speak our truth? Can we own up to fact that we create our own reality by what we're being inside and therefore accept that we have manifested any problems or difficulties we're having? Can we have the courage to look inside our heart and see our distortions and then commit to changing them the next time?

Here at Openhand, we call the overall approach "SAT Nav"...

• Trust

If we continually follow our own personal SAT Nav, we will shed layer upon layer of tightness, restriction and limitation and discover new gifts of beingness we probably never dreamed of. Our consciousness literally expands out of the Bodymind and into other higher vibrational layers of experience and possibility. Over time, this new lightness becomes more of our reality until the old world of control, conditioning and distrust begins to dissolve.

This is the path to the higher paradigm of which we speak here at Openhand. This is our Ascension. Change we can truly believe in!
