Are we slipping increasingly into the red?
In the UK we've just been battered by the strongest storms for a decade not to mention the freak earthquake a short while ago. They come at a time when our finances are slipping increasingly into the red yielding difficult decisions for the government. In my experience the timing is no coincidence. Every circumstance is interlinked; co-created so as to provide a continually updating mirror for us to see ourselves more clearly. So the stormy conditions are arising just at the time the UK media is warning of recession...

Papering over the cracks?
It also coincides with the UK government's announced that it would be investing once more in coal fired power stations to prevent predicted black-outs due to energy shortages - caused of course by the onset of peak oil. Despite all the warnings from Mother Earth, our leaders still seem content to continue full economic speed ahead despite the looming "ice bergs".

Yet who can blame them? Governments around the world are still simply responding to the desires, fears and falsely perceived needs of the people. As long as we keep wanting our consumerist lifestyles to continue, as long as we keep spending to sustain the unsustainable, governments will keep delivering. Let's face it, it's practically impossible to imagine any government coming right out and saying what's really needed - "to return to energy consumption levels prior to the industrial revolution; to switch off our lights, stop driving our cars, flying planes and buying the unnecessary."

It comes as no suprise therefore that on the one hand the UK government speaks of its green ambitions whilst on the other hand is investing in new coal fired power stations (the same pattern is being repeated in America and around the world). So to me it seems like we're still living in a false reality sustained by the human mass subconsciousness - if enough believe it will continue, indeed it will.....for a while at least!

I feel that's exactly what's happening right now. Business is continuing as usual and yet underneath our feet, the soul of the earth is shifting and we're moving ever more out of alignment. When you really tune in energetically you can feel it inside. If you're empathic and experiencing an increased degree of internal stress and disorder right now, it could be that you are indeed picking up this growing discord.

It feels like the proverbial elastic band is being stretched almost to breaking point. Yet to me this is a good thing. I see it in a most positive way - as the tension increases, the mirror will get stronger, the disillusionment with the Matrix more prevalent. The wake up call will hopefully reach more people inviting more to go within and find the completeness we've been looking for.

Here at Openhand we feel there is no time to delay - no time to put off that inner journey. Its time to listen to and follow the calling of the soul at whatever apparent personal cost. It's a choice we make in every moment, in especially the apparently small things we do. Every choice has its consequences whether unseen or not and the more we follow our highest truth, the greater the likelihood is we'll prepare well and find safe passage through the increasingly turbulent times ahead.

Now is the time to listen to the still small voice within!
