The rainbows are coming

Life is full of miracles and magic, yet every now and again, something so soul stirring happens, reconfirming the awe of being incarnated, sending cosmic shivers through my entire being.

During the second last day on my visit to Hawaii, I was undeniably drawn to the Hindu Temple. Why? I never know the ‘why’ of things, I just honour the feeling inside that guides me along the way....

The twenty minute drive there was adorned with a rich, vibrant bridge of rainbow colour, that seemed to lead right to the door of the Hindu Monastery grounds. It might not seem unusual, but in a whole month, I hadn’t yet seen any rainbows in the sky! And only the day before, I had felt the rainbows coming.

Upon arrival at the monastery, it turned out that it was closed to visitors for two or three days per month over the full moon for monk retreat.

I didn’t see the grounds, yet I was awestruck by the magical energy there. I pointed my video camera into the valley toward the river, only to find a rainbow forming across the valley over the river for only a few seconds and then faded away. It was out of this world and felt like the devas were dancing divinity just for me.

After being assured that the 363 acre grounds would be open the next day (my last day in Hawaii), of all the things I could have done on my last day, I eagerly knew I was meant to ‘try’ again. We arrived but were once more told it was still closed to the public that day. But I felt so moved by the energy, that I quietly acknowledged to myself: if I was meant to see the grounds, then I would. It was then that ‘Paramacharya Sadasivanatha Palaniswami’ - for some unknown reason made himself known and quietly offered to take my Mother and I on a private tour. Wow! How blessed!

It unfolded seamlessly like magic as if he was expecting us. We slipped off quietly beyond the ‘do not enter’ sign so as not to make a big deal of it in front of the surrounding tourists.

There are moments in life where I am just beaming with delight and cannot stop smiling. This was one of them. As the air filled me with calm serenity, we began to explore the grounds. Everything our swami guide said seemed to fill me with joy. There was such a divine dance of resonance in what he shared, such as the trusting way he’d planted everything on the land over the last 42 years, knowing that what was meant to survive their would, and leaving the rest to take it’s own natural course. He played his part and then allowed the universal energy to do its thing.

Dakshinamurti: The Silent Shiva

Amidst the experience that stirred my soul, there was “Dakshinamurti” the Silent Shiva. This is a manifestation of Shiva, who instead of sharing knowledge by talking, imparted a knowledge through silence. This resonates so deeply with my experience of speaking without words - resounding a vibration that imparts so much more knowing that any words ever could. I just felt the energy of Dakshinamurti soul to soul shining a divine light on my realisation of the deepest universal truths.

When the Bohdi Tree speaks

I was not expecting to commune with a Bodhi Tree either, and certainly not a Bodhi tree that was a direct descendant by seed of the one that the ‘Buddha’ himself had achieved enlightenment under.

What made this incredibly moving, was that only recently I’d been visited by guidance from the Buddha during meditation. His energy had been guiding me through the most challenging of karma. As I approached the Bodhi tree, the energy got ‘really big’. It pulled me inwards, placing my forehead on its outreaching branch. My third eye opened rapidly and I melted into the tree. The unspoken imparting of knowledge was there to integrate. There really are no more words to describe one of the most moving moments ever. There's a reasons why words are sometimes not given.

This really was the most beautiful way to say farewell to Hawaii. There are experiences there that have simply defied time and space and will remain with me always.

I expected nothing and left with the feeling that I have been so incredibly blessed, beyond any expectations.

And life goes on. Each moment is a miracle. I see it through everything.
