19/04/10: "Cometh the hour, Cometh the Man..."

Back to the future
So for several days all aircraft have been grounded across the UK and much of Europe because of what? Well insurance company small print has got it in one...an act of 'God'. Or put more accurately, an act of Gaia. A volcano in Iceland grounds all air traffic across Europe costing business billions. It all feels kind of surreal doesn't it? Kind of biblical even. It's almost as if by one freak act of nature, humanity has been momentarily shunted all the way back to the stone age; the times where we walked everywhere and flew in our hearts instead. The clock is well and truly ticking. And where is it taking us? Back to the future of course...

Volcano disrupts
Let me ask you a question: do you remember which country in the world was hardest hit by the credit crunch in 2008? By some strange 'coincidence' it was Iceland. The banking system there imploded swallowing up billions of foreign financial investment. Many of Britain's local councils had invested taxpayers money in Icelandic banks - it's a peculiar world sometimes!

When the commercial dust settled, the International Monetary Fund took Iceland to the industrial cleaners. Billions of dollars were loaned to reinflate the economy. Loans that will take decades to pay back, if they ever are. Indeed history will show that European governments did not learn their lesson. Instead of realising we need less global business and more local, they simply printed more paper money and returned to 'business as usual'. So Benevolent Consciousness had to come up with another way of delivering the same message, except this time, a good deal more dramatically.

Enter Gaia and a 'freak' act of nature, or an act of 'God' as the insurance companies want to classify it. A volcano spews dust across Europe and grounds all air traffic. Gosh, it even grounded the Formula 1 Grand Prix! The rich-track for the fast and furious was momentarily blocked.

Business unusual
So is this just all a coincidence... the economy of Iceland is dumped on due to excess global consumption and Gaia dumps the fallout right back? I've seen enough in my awakened life not to believe in such 'coincidence'. These things simply do not happen by chance. We, as a group consciousness, together with Gaia create these spectacular events to present a mirror, just as when the Titanic hit an Ice Berg back at the beginning of the Industrial Revolution. Society didn't listen then, is it really listening now? I predict in the coming years an increasing number of such coincidental seismic events.

Of course I'm not the only one to predict this. I know many of you are feeling the same way. Have you heard of James Lovelock and his ground breaking book "The Revenge of Gaia?" He's an independent scientist who dared to fly in the face of the establishment and suggest that Gaia is a living being in her own right; one that regulates her climate through the interrelation of her global eco-systems. He was ridiculed when he suggested it, but now even the establishment is beginning to take note.

He speaks of an increase in global temperatures of around 6 centigrade. He postulates this is going to mean devastation for society during the course of the next few decades and we're going to have to find ways of becoming more at one with Gaia if we are to survive. Recently, the BBC has filmed a wonderful feature about the man and his work. You can watch the sixty minute documentary at the link at the bottom of this post. Here's a short taster of his Gaia "Eureka Moment"...

The compassion of Gaia
Although I resonate with a good deal of what James says, I know in my heart that Gaia is not exacting revenge. A being as highly evolved as she would simply not act on such motive. She is simply speaking as clearly and loudly as possible in her own entirely natural way, through the synchronicity from which the weave of all life is woven. Humanity is still heading towards a commercial precipice; the one of interdependency and hyper-inflation. We need to slow business right down not accelerate it and if we don't do it by choice, the decision will be taken from our hands. We can either have the soft landing or the hard one.

Fortunately there's a growing, off-the-radar minority who ARE heeding the warnings. Increasingly, we're rejecting this globalised madness and returning more to our roots. Here at Openhand, in the work that we do, we're encountering waves of people who are saying "Hell no, these lemmings won't go." People who are giving up the commercial exploitation and forming local micro-communities again. They're learning to live off the land in a way that humanity did in the earliest civilisations. We're learning once more how to be as one with the compassionate face of Gaia.

Homo Divinicus cometh
It's just like we're going back to the future. We're connecting more with the land, feeling the full beauty and vibrancy of the Unity Consciousness pervading all things. We're connecting in a way very reminiscent of the times before all this Industrial madness began. However this time, the future will be different from the past. It will have reflections of it, but we will use our expanded awareness and our knowledge gleaned through countless generations to help unfold a better place - a Renewed Earth.

And how do we get there? We have to go inwards of course and unravel the restrictions that still bind. We have to transcend the inner Gateways of consciousness and literally allow our souls to expand into the new paradigm. That's why here at Openhand, we're conducting our Five Gateways Workshops to help people transcend these inner Gateways and travel back to the future (here are details about our next course in May...Five Gateways Workshop).

Yes, it is indeed time to return to our roots. To go backwards in order to progress. However, let us be crystal clear, this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end, but it is the end of the beginning. The time of Homo Sapiens is drawing to a close. The time of Homo Divinicus is about to begin.

And here's that James Lovelock interview... Beautiful Minds

No aircraft

I went out for a walk yesterday on Glastonbury Tor. It was a magical day with stunning sunlight radiating the landscape. Then it struck me... no vapour trails, no rumblings from above, no great metal beasts piercing the silence of the sky. How beautiful is that?

It was a curious and wonderful experience. I just felt to share it!

Going back to our roots

I have been feeling exactly the same thing these past days. I look up at the sky and feel a sense of awe and wonder at the clarity overhead. The other thing I have noticed is the fruit (for example: grapes, oranges and mangoes) dissappearing from the shelves in the stores, as the imports fail to arrive as usual. Somehow, I feel such a sense of relief at this. It's a little taster of how things would be by going back to our roots - and to be perfectly honest - I feel very excited at the prospect. It free's up so much energy and we shall feel it in the field.

This is a most welcomed article. Keep shining brother!

Rebirthing

Hi Chris & Trinity,

Your latest article and subsequent comments reminded me of a Rebirthing course I attended many years ago, and also the words of a former work colleague (name withheld on request) whose e-mail on leaving the organisation made interesting and insightful reading:

“All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy; for what we leave behind is a part of ourselves, we must die to one life before we can enter another”
Quote by Anatole France (see note below)

Best wishes,
Andy C

PS In the course of research, I've just discovered the above quote should in fact have been attributed to Anatole France.

Reborn

Very well put Andy. It does feel to me like a rebirthing both of the planet and of humanity. And yes the old establishment has to die first in order that the new can be reborn.

Are the Corinthian Columns Collapsing?

As an adjunct to my posting here, my attention has been drawn to the escalating debt problem in Greece and across the eurozone as a whole. To those not interested in economics, you would be forgiven for 'sweeping the issue under the carpet' or posting it in the 'file 13 bin', but stay tuned to this story if you can, because my feeling is it's going to run and run and it's of vital importance to awakening people everywhere. Why is this the case?

For those who've not been following the flow, the economy of Greece - the mythological country of the Gods and the Olympics - is collapsing. When they joined the eurozone a while back and gave up the drachma for the euro, they went on a borrow-now-pay-later spending spree. They spent billions on new centres for the Athens Olympics for example. Well now those debts are being called in and Greece is bankrupt.

Of course the problem for Europe now, is that they have to bail-out that country or either kick them out of the eurozone. It seems Germany and France are choosing the soft option (I guess if Greece were ejected it could send shivers throughout the whole eurozone experiment). It seems France and Germany are in the same hole and have decided rather than stop, they should just keep digging.

But of course the problem of the bail-out is where does it end? Speculators are already short shelling the debt of Portugal and Spain. The eurozone economy is looking increasingly shakey. There is only so much paper money that they can print before it all becomes worthless.

So take note awakening people everywhere. Yet again we're seeing growing cracks in this unsustainable system the world has bought into. The Corinthian columns are cracking and can only be a question of time before the temple collapses. For those who are still looking to the system to support them in the years ahead, think again. It's time to return to our roots, to gather in small communities. To become self-sustaining. The Gods are on our side. The time is now. There is no other time!
