Remembering who we are
For aeons human beings have been yearning for liberation from pain and suffering. Manifested as lack of confidence, inner turmoil, muscular tension, illness or physical and mental disease there is a reason for all disharmony. For any of this to make sense we must first recognise that we are on a journey of evolution that transcends the bounds of physical, mental and emotional limitations and that we are all interconnected. To separate ourselves from the whole and deny this is to create dis-ease...
Infused into the human experience, we have a tendency to separate ourselves from our true and whole nature, forgetting who we really are. We then forget where we came from along with the purpose of our incarnation. We become lost in the experience of being human. Our awareness strays from the divine flow of balance and harmony, we feel unease and resistance as we fight against the current.
As we become lost, forgetting our natural state of interconnectedness, we create situations in our lives by default to help us remember again. These situations generally cause internal tension which show up as compression's in our energy field where the energy stagnates, unable to flow properly. This in turn becomes illness in its many forms, whether a mild cold or cancer, depression or psychosis.
Throughout my years of working with energy, I have learned that there is only one purpose of illness; a warning that we have forgotten who we truly are! It is only in remembering that the true healing takes place.
We are each born with the ability to heal ourselves, although at times it may be beneficial to receive a little help to release the energy blockages in order to rediscover the self healing process. A healer in the true sense, will gently reawaken the original memory of our soul purpose and empower us to help ourselves.

Healing and remembering who we truly are...
Hi Elly,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experience.
For my post above to make sense it requires the recognition that we are connected to all things and that everything internal and external to ourselves is simply a mirror reflecting to us everything that we need in order to remember who we truly are.
It sounds to me as if you already have found the answer
in your statement...
- “To be honest, now it doesn't really matter to me the reason that I was affected, more relevant to me is how it has steered and guided my life to where I am today. It left me with some personal physical challenges which have certainly been difficult to accept and overcome but have also made me so much stronger and perhaps more compassionate and open hearted, and maybe its the reason I find myself on the spiritual path I'm on today!”
In my view the most important thing that we can embrace is what we feel as each moment arises!
Challenges are created (by the higher self) in order to find our unshaken centre within the 'storm', taking us to ever deeper places within our being allowing us to let go of the drama. This is not to say that we avoid the situation. The question is rather, do we deal with it from a place of centred peace? Or from a place of inner chaos? Do we reinforce internal blockages, or do we let them go?
As we are ready to take a leap in evolution in this world the deep yearning in our soul to reconnect us to the path becomes unmistakable. If we are not yet attuning to the synchronicities and subtle higher guidance, we often find ourselves in the middle of a life threatening circumstance or experience a jolting shock that makes us question the whole nature of reality. It is all part of the divine unfolding to ensure that we keep moving.
In relation to higher evolution, it may be useful to point out that the ‘net’ through to higher awareness is so fine that we cannot move through with blockages or attachments. Attachments keep us bound to third dimensional reality. They keep us coming back!
If you can picture yourself as a liberated formless (transparent or light) being that can flow through all things, then you may appreciate even that it is not possible to flow through anything whilst carrying attachments. Your essence is more like the water flowing through the prison of a fishing net and your attachments are more like the treasure chest that you are holding onto from the bottom of the sea, caught, imprisoned, unable to experience freedom.
Anything that we can hold onto (whether emotional, material, mental etc.) takes on a different meaning. Our soul purpose is to return to the source, so we create circumstances to help us to let go of all of this stuff.
The key is not to ‘overcome illness’, but rather to be profoundly honest with ourselves about internal blockages. When these are apparent we are invited to bring our full consciousness to them and allow them to dissolve. If it is on our path to get better, we will. If not, we will be taken on a journey of profound realisations and leave the physical body behind... We keep coming back until we are ready to centre our awareness in higher consciousness (rather than visiting every now and again).
Healing by another can be a temporary solution to our suffering. It can also be a powerful kick-start and exactly what we have attracted in our lives to remember who we truly are. Self empowerment is important. However without remembering the truth of who we are means that the blockage will simply re-emerge in another form until we are ready to release whatever it is that is holding back our evolving selves. There are many temporary solutions available. In my experience it is only through self-realisation that we become truly liberated.
This is a very deep subject and we are indeed only scratching the surface
I hope that I have scratched a bit further for you...
From your post it sounds to me that the treatment you received and the chance to live invoked an awakening that took you to the heart of compassion and appreciation for life. It sounds to me that you found a most beautiful gift in it all as it led you to the path of your soul. The most profound blessings are often those in disguise.

Levels of evolution

Every river has its shores! Every human body has its limitations.
It is a temporary vehicle of experience. Even the most spiritually advanced people are still evolving. Challenges don't stop once you reach a certain point in evolution. Infact the more and more open we become the more and more we have to deal with. The difference is the way we deal with them We find ourselves able to work from a place of serenity aligned to higher consciousness.
Experience will all stop when we dissolve back into the nothingness from which we came
Until then, the liberation is rather to do with our relationship with that experience. Are we coming from a place of centred openess? Or are we coming from a place of drama? Everything changes to reflect our state of consciousness.
Some who are aligned with higher consciousness find the density of this place quite overwhelming and tred a fine during their incarnation.
ponderings
thank you trinity! your reply does make sense, at least I am *starting* to get my head round these concepts, though i suspect it will be a long while before I can feel and experience for myself a real remembering of who i really am!
But I guess its a step in the right direction that I have come to truly feel that every experience we have, "positive" or "negative", is helping me to develop and evolve, and like you say, its up to us how we approach those experiences - if we accept them non judgementally and with openness, as food for the soul, or whether we react to them emotionally or mentally, and give ourselves a struggle...
thank you for explaining a little more for me.
blessings,
elly
You are welcome
It's a pleasure to help if I am able to Elly.
I am glad it shone a little light. We really are just scratching the surface... once we start to dig, we might start to wonder how deep the rabbit hole really goes

dear trinity, it does make
dear trinity,
it does make sense to me that energy blockages could manifest in all kinds of different illnesses. i wonder if you can help me and my scientific mind which sometimes causes problems! my first question is that obviously certain external stimulii often cause illnesses - whether this be a whole host of different reasons from poor diet, viruses or parasites, to radiation. of course some people may be more liable to be affected than others, but even the most spiritually advanced people get ill sometimes, particularly if they are exposed to a really powerful nasty, and everyones physical body will eventually deteriorate? So where I agree that there is often more to it than simple bad luck, I also think that sometimes our physical body or immune system just can't overcome what is affecting it.
I guess I have my own reasons for this; I had Hodgkin's disease when I was 15. Its a form of cancer of lymph nodes, and so it follows that I had chemotherapy which gratefully gave me a chance to carry on life, where many of the children in the ward lost theres. I currently have problems in accepting that I got this illness to 'pay back' karma in past lives, and to a lesser degree that it affected me because of certain energy blocks, although there is no other known reason why I was affected over anybody else. I certainly didn't feel like a different teenager to anybody else, and had a thankfully happy upbringing. Of course doctors would put it down to a million and one possible combinations of enviornmental or genetic factors; who knows. To be honest, now it doesnt really matter to me the reason that I was affected, more relevant to me is how it has steered and guided my life to where I am today. It left me with some personal physical challenges which have certainly been difficult to accept and overcome but have also made me so much stronger and perhaps more compassionate and open hearted, and maybe its the reason I find myself on the spiritual path I'm on today!
I would be happy to hear your thoughts on my experiences, I am still only scratching the surface of understanding what is going on, but its great to have your nuggets of wisdom to help along the way!
With love
Elly
