In spiritual circles we frequently speak of higher guidance and its importance in our unfolding. We often hear of “channelling”, “guardian angels”, “power animals” etc. etc. But where is this guidance leading us and is it always authentic? It seems so often that guidance may lead us astray. So how might we know the difference between benevolent guidance and that opposing us? Here is a brief and straightforward synopsis which came to me today...

The Two types of guidance

"There are two types of guidance...
that from higher Benevolent Consciousness
and that from Opposing Consciousness.
How are we to know the difference between the two?
If by following one, you find yourself being
continually broken, beaten and pared to the bone,
if you find all your manifestations come to nought
if you find your heart broken again and again and again,
if you find your relationships shattered and stripped from you,
if you find yourself doubting and questioning all things....
even your own sanity,
then you know for SURE you are following true authentic guidance,
for the purpose of true guidance and our higher purpose are one and the same...
to strip us down to nothing that finally we may embrace everything.

If on the other hand you find your guidance building you up,
manifesting great abundance in your life continually adding layers
to an already crowded ego, then you know for sure you are being duped.
Opposing Consciousness would and can give us everything we want,
until it says “you now owe me”.
In selling our soul this way, it becomes nigh on impossible to hear our own quiet inner voice."
