What are 'Ascended Masters'?
It is believed by some that there is a highly evolved guiding consciousness helping us to discover our true nature. This consciousness is known by a variety of names - the 'Great white brotherhood' and 'Ascended Masters' for example. Do they really exist? If so, in what form?...

To me, this level of consciousness is so highly sophisticated, that it becomes too simplistic to speak of them in particular forms. It feels like a form such as 'Melchizedek' - the perfected 'angel man' shown in the picture - should really be used more as a symbol of the essence rather than true representation of form. To me, the term 'Ascended Masters' can be a little misleading in this way when perhaps we would find it more instructive to connect with their formlessness.

People often feel a natural 'pull' to work with one or a selected few of these various essences. To work with them, all you need really do is open your heart and invite them in.

However, there is a requirement to always be careful about how you apply what information you receive since many of the channelings and guidances can be false.

It is always important to process all incoming information through your own inner discernment, always remembering our central purpose in life to express OUR own highest truth in response to what the universe is revealing to us in each moment. It is not about blindly following guidance for we are each given free will and choice to express the divine in our own unique way.

Just like the angels, guidance from the masters helps to reveal our truth. True communication always invites us to express higher love and self sacrificing compassion for all life.
