After three and a half years, the golden sunrise of 5GATEWAYS is rising over the horizon and breaking through the clouds. Wednesday night was a truly momentous occasion as the film was beamed for the first time onto the big screen to 125 people (so I'm told by Liz on the door). It's finally beginning to dawn on me that the Openhand 5GATEWAYS documentary film has been born. The entire process was a phenomenal learning curve for everyone involved, with the most intense challenges and always the divine invitation to trust even deeper...

There was an incredible sense of unity as people came to the event from all different walks of life. Many people we'd never met before. The applause and cheering at the end were testimony to how enthusiastically it had been received. Faces were beaming with joy and inspiration. Lots of people came upto us and expressed feelings of upliftment and gratitude for receiving this important message. Glastonbury is no ordinary place and many of the people here are quite skeptical of such work, yet the barriers fell down swiftly as it became clear that this is no ordinary message. The movie offers a down to earth blue print for the journey of evolution, where we build the bridge of commonality between evolving people. It is our heartfelt wish is to help others unravel the restrictions that hold us back and heed the calling of the soul's deepest yearning to evolve.

It has always been our wish to make this available for free, to everyone. It looks like that will happen on March 15th, as we upload it on to the world wide web. There's just a few more technical obstacles to overcome, but we're feeling the inevitability of it all now. Yes, it's going to happen!

Here I've transcribed an excerpt from the introduction to the premier by Chris...

"What a fabulous audience, thanks so much to you all for coming. So, I have a question of you all. Why did you come tonight? (various answers from the audience) Yes there are perhaps many reasons and the obvious answer is to watch a movie! But I suspect there’s a deeper purpose than that.

I think we’re all here because we all know something.
We are all connected by a similar thread of consciousness that runs through everybody...
We know that something is not right in the world,
We know that the systems that support us in this society are not in the interests of all life and are breaking down,
We know also that people are waking up in huge numbers across the planet. I believe we’re witnessing the effects of that in North Africa and the Middle East right now,
We know that this revolution in consciousness is going to change the very fabric of our lives in the short few years ahead.

Now some spiritual teachers would say the revolution has to happen first so that more and more people can evolve. I don’t believe that. I believe the revolution has to be a product of our evolution.

We ‘ordinary’ people here can change the very fabric and nature of our lives by changing ourselves from within. I believe we’re all connected to one destiny, one co-creation that is unfolding itself all around us right now, and that to bring that destiny into being, all we have to do is go inside and peel away the barriers that prevent us from being in that place. To me, this is what Gandhi meant when he talked of ‘being the change’.

The question is, how do we ‘be the change’? How do you do it? Of course there are many approaches, many different ways for every person in this hall and every person out there. We all have a unique journey. Yet what’s absolutely fascinating, is that those people who have walked the path before us and really paid attention to what is going on, report five key expansions of consciousness on that journey. You can see it in the lives of many of the masters if you look. But here’s the fascinating thing, in the work we’re doing here at Openhand, you see it in the lives of ordinary people, like us. If we can have a fairly rudimentary understanding of what those transitions are, how they fit together, how our lives are going to be influenced as we make our way through day-to-day living and through our relationships and our jobs, our careers; if we can have a rudimentary understanding of how we are going to be influenced and affected, then it can ease much of the unnecessary pain and suffering that we might experience. And it can catalyse the next step. This then is the real power of this Five Gateways approach."
