Here below is a glossary of commonly used terms on the Openhand site and what we mean by them. Such metaphyiscal definitions are always open to debate because they depend on our own subjective experience. • Ascension: when a sentient life form moves from one vibrational state of existence to the next higher one.
• Attachment: when a soul becomes identified with the external ‘drama’ in some particular way.
• Bodily vehicles of expression: the seven human bodily vehicles (also termed the "Bodymind") formed from Separation Consciousness through which the soul expresses...
• Physical body: the sum collection of consciousness cells forming the physical body and lower mind(connected via the base chakra)
• Emotional body: that which holds, process and expresses our emotional state (connected via the sacral chakra).
• Energy body: processes higher abstract wisdom in a 3rd dimensional way and facilitates our psychic skills (connected via the solar plexus chakra).
• Causal body: retains karma - the blue print for each incarnation (connected via the heart chakra).
• Higher mind: connects to, receives and processes abstract wisdom from higher universal knowing (connected via the throat chakra).
• Celestial body: that which holds stimulates and reflects authentic recognition of our soul (connected via the third eye).
• Spirit light body: facilitates multi dimensional experience. Also known as the “merkaba” (connected via the crown chakra).
• Chakra: a location within a human being where Soul Consciousness infuses into the bodily vehicles of expression. The seven primary ones are...
• Base chakra: the etheric centre where Soul Consciousness infuses into the physical body. Positioned at the coccyx and also known as the “root chakra”.
• Sacral chakra: the etheric chakra centre where Soul Consciousness infuses into the emotional body. Positioned where the spine and pelvis meet.
• Solar plexus chakra: the etheric centre infusing soul Consciousness into the energy body.
• Heart chakra: the etheric centre where Soul Consciousness infuses into the causal body. Based on the spine at the height of the heart.
• Throat chakra: the etheric centre where Soul Consciousness infuses into the “higher mind” bodily vehicle of expression.
• Third eye: the centre of consciousness for the soul within a human being. Located in the centre of the head at the pineal gland. Also known as “the soul centre”.
• Crown chakra: the etheric centre where Soul Consciousness infuses into the spirit light body.
• Consciousness: awareness or presence - life itself.
  
  • Benevolent Consciousness: a benevolent life form assisting in the natural evolutionary process of another life form. Also frequently referred to as “Higher Guiding Consciousness”.
  • Opposing Consciousness: an alien life form opposing the natural evolutionary process of another for its own benefit.
  • Separation Consciousness: consciousness generating the illusion of separation between sentient life forms.
  • Unity Consciousness: consciousness connecting all sentient life forms and drawing them back to ever higher degrees of unity.
• Consciousness landscape: an inner landscape of information held lightly within our bodily vehicles of expression, formed from noticed outer symbology, which them shapes the actions of the soul.
• Distorted behaviour pattern: programmed or conditioned behaviour pattern formed from fixed neural pathways in the brain caused by an attachment of the soul to the external drama. Also known as a “distortion” for short.
• Dimension: something which defines a particular vibrational location in the universe.
• Dimensional realm: a grouping of dimensions forming one plane of existence - for example the ‘3rd Dimensional Realm’ where we currently exist.
• Earth bound soul: a soul that has left the body and yet remains in the 3rd Dimensional Realm due to over attachment to this plane.
• Ego: the sum total of Separation Consciousness with which a Sentient Life Form expresses itself. Also know as the “personality”.
• Enlightened state: when a sentient life form is experiencing itself as what it truly is - the “Seer” - non identified awareness.
• Enlightenment: when a sentient life form is constantly experiencing itself as the “Seer”.
• False self: when a soul has identified itself with the ego.
• Gateway of Light: a transition point from one level or state of awareness to a higher more expanded one...
• Gateway 1:"Awakening" - the magic of the soul and its unmistakable quiet inner voice is unveiled to us.
• Gateway 2:"Realignment" - we surrender to the supreme governance of the soul in our lives. We align with the Divine Will.
• Gateway 3:"Transfiguration" - a dramatic shift of perception from identification with the personality to being the Seer expressed as the soul through the bodymind.
• Gateway 4:"Enlightenment" - 'fragments' of the soul still identifying with the personality are released and ‘reconnected’. The soul becomes fully integral within our being.
• Gateway 5:"Resurrection" - our seven bodily vehicles of expression are finally cleansed, reactivated and re-energised. We unfold into multi dimensional living.
• Identity: when a sentient life form holds the illusionary notion of separation of itself from the “One Life”. In other words when a soul becomes identified with the ego or personality.
• Inner child identity: a complex web of fixed neural pathways - conditioned behaviours - forming in early childhood.
• Inner teenager identity: a complex web of fixed neural pathways forming at or shortly after puberty.
• Shadow identity: a ‘fragment’ of the soul identifying with the ego. Also known as the “shadow”.
• Right Action: action which is at one with the natural directional flow of the universe as a whole.
• Right Outcome: when Right Action is made manifest.
• Sentient life form: a separate, identifiable life form.
• Soul: the unique expression of the Seer forming a sentient life form.
• Soul family: a group of closely related souls all vibrating on a closely aligned harmonic and assisting each other in their spiritual evolution.
• The Observer: an aspect of mind - an inner identity - formed from the intention to observe thoughts, emotions, motivations, feelings and behaviours.
• The Heart: a more expanded evolution of the Observer. The place where we feel and surrender to the natural pull of our Soul.
• The Seer: non identified awareness - the one being of which all life is formed - that which all Sentient Life Forms collectively are. Also referred to as the “One Life”, the “Creator”, the “True Self”, “God”.
• The Matrix: a complex energy web of conditioned behaviours formed from mass human subconsciousness.
