Hi Openhanders

A few days ago I found out that my closest friend has died. She was only 31 and was closer than family to me.

She died of liver cancer - which normally means a drawn out death in pain...though it seems her soul had chosen its path - it had completed this life's mission and she went into hospital and died peacefully within 24hrs.

It was such a shock to everyone as no one knew, including her, that she had cancer - her family say that she died so peacefully and must have completely accepted her fate in the moment of her death.

She was such a beautiful soul - such a strong character in that she was exactly who she was, no justifications for how she felt in each moment.
So gentle and compassionate, she became my friend many years back - drawn to each other because we would talk at great depth about the real things that mattered in life. We never had a shallow conversation and inspired the truth in each others hearts.

I laugh as I picture her now - stopping mid flow in converstaion to watch a cloud float by, or a butterfly passing in the wind - she was adept at just 'being' in the moment and appreciated nature and the simpilest things the most of all.

She was very empathetic and sensitive - and carried a wisdom beyond her years. She understood why people were the way they were and why they did the things they did. Seeing through the veil of illusion into the hearts of others.

She spent her last few months in her favourite place - the family home helping her mum garden, walking the dogs and contemplating life. I am so happy that she spent her last days in this way with her family.

Everytime I see a butterfly I will be reminded of her - gently flitting from here to there - spreading her light where ever she went in her delicate beauty.

So .. my beautiful Jessie Bear .. I wish your soul well on it's journey.

And you will remain close to my heart and soul for eternity..
