Flowing through waking, dreaming and deep sleeps stages

Three stages repeats day after day and overall no progress seems to be happened from a long time.

1. I know at this moment in time I am the silent observer. I can feel I am detached from mind and body. I can see mind and body are the instruments to experience the outside physical world. I understand that through this body and mind I am just playing a role of this Individual on the stage of universe. But this experience or being a witness needs to be forced consciously. Its easy to get lost into this play as a individual identity as a usual habit, lot of noise, distractions, work stress and so on. This is during waking state.
2. During sleep, I try to observe the mind, body, thoughts and surroundings. I can see I am entering into dreams. A very light awareness is there in very early state of dream. Then this awareness gets lost and the being is just experiences the dreams.
3. During dreamless sleep, which follows after the dream there is no awareness, as awareness is lost during the early phase of dream.

Especially on working days work related stress drags down the self and I feel miserable and helpless. Only a silent observer state brings a detachment from this stress. Sometimes it’s really hard to be a silent observer especially because of work related stress.

Not detaching

Hi Sunil,

I'd say the key issue is that you're trying to detach yourself from the stress of life - fairly understandable but ultimately self defeating.

In our approach, we do indeed speak of 'becoming the observer of life'. However we then go onto speak of 'feeling fully everything that is happening first through the five senses' and then as the heart opens, dropping into the heart and allowing our sixth - psychic - senses to activate.

This is done by fully feeling what is going on in the moment (not detaching ourselves at all), but then looking to feel what wants to happen - what we're drawn to do.

If you really want to evolve, you have to ask yourself why would you do something that continues to make yourself depressed? This is very likely to shut down the sense of awakeness which is clearly happening for you.

I'm not saying we shouldn't work, just that if your work is making you depressed and stressed, and you're not able to attune to the lightness whilst at work, then I'd say you're being given a strong message about why things are not working for you - either you really need to change your approach to work or change your work.

Best wishes

Chris

Awareness

Hi Chris,

Thanks a lot for the response. As you have pointed out rather than taking work related thoughts and stress at home I should take awareness at work. It’s an art which I am practising.
