If you were a mystical creature or an animal what would you Truly be??
This may sound like a very obscure question to a lot of people. But it is inspired by the end of the summer retreat, and a project I have been working on for many years.
I created a story many years ago for my children, which has been retold many times in many different ways, at last I am finding myself writing it down in a new way, after I talked it through with a new close friend, and I realised it was about my personal journey so far. I had been searching a for an artist to illustrate it for all of this time and I found him in a gallery owned by a friend recently. While we were talking it through it came to life for me again.
The way of the heart has given me the fuel to go on and delve deeper into the story and find the truths I have been denying for all of this time.
To help me out with the characters I would like to base how they look on everyone I have met in Openhand. I have a party scene in the forest to create all input would be gladly received.
Thank you for being there for me everyone, it has so far been magnificent, I look forward to your sharing your true selves

Kerry

what animal would you be?
It feels so inspiring to learn that you are feeling moved to honour your creativity Kerry. I am delighted to know that the retreats have began to unleash these gifts of beingness for you. How uplifting!
What creature or animal for your woodland scene... great question. I'll feel that, see what arises and then get back to you.

What would you like to know about 'me'?
Hi, I like it very much, your fuel lit up my creativity
Just what would you like to know - how I would look like, or who I would be, the whole character - the way I would move, behave, talk, what would be my customs, etc?
Light it up with joy!!
Hi I would love to hear any input on your character!!
My plan at the beginning was to have several stories together which interlinked the characters together, in a community, something I have not experienced for a number of years personally, so it seems to have stopped at just the first story so far, it would be great to hear some input from other people about their own journeys, especially from the enlightened as that seems to be the flow of my first story so far!!
My journey in basic steps, metaphorically told through the fairy fantasy world of an enchanted wood, and its inhabitants.
I would love to hear what mystical creatures people could think of. I have some traditional ones so far. But they not very traditional in their thinking and looks so far anyway. Im having fun adding bits into the story as I go along!!
Thanks for the interest

Hi Kerry,
Please excuse the tardy reply. I've been out of action for a few days
If I were contemplating the same thing I might relax, let go, close my eyes imagining those people who inspire me and allow something to arise. I'd allow my perception of their energy and beingness to inspire an animal or creature and go from there.
There are so many animals that inspire me. I can't feel one in particular that would represent me though. I can imagine Fiona as a butterfly though
or perhaps a playful otter.

Animals joke - endotons
How about a wierd animal walking on two legs?
Mysterious enough?
I can create the whole specie with subspecies.
Note: I write it for fun, I don't think it will help in writing Kerry's book
subspecie 1 - endotons:
They are low and round, white skin with soft white fluff, short arms and legs, with huge round 4-fingered hands and feet, and big round ears. Females are distincted from males by longer and thicker fluff and by large blue eyes.
They are funny, like to have fun, talkative, like attention, eat and drink a lot, they sleep half of the day - awake another half.
They live mainly in woods, in warm and green areas, many flowers and water. They are very fond of esthetics and harmony, so usually they arrange their living areas in a very colorful, harmoneous and joyful manner. All of their tools, furniture (if one may call it so) are of round forms, soft fabric. There are no corners, and no sharp or pricking tools.
They are vegetarians, although in times of shortage they exchange soft matraces, pillows, blankets, clothing and linens made from their own fluff on animal food with mesotons, who are not interested in any other endotons' production. But this is really rare, since they really love nature, mutually, and therefore, are well taken care of.
Other production - flower arrangements (in a way they are still in the ground, so they don't die); wine; products made of straw (bags, baskets, boxes (round of course), etc.
Their dance is usually to take the form of the ball and roll in different directions and rhythms. Professional dancers can even pump themselves up to the air and perform all kinds of beautiful 'ball' jumping, turning and swinging.
Their way of singing distincts very much from ectotons. Their songs may sound the same to other subspecies, that are not sensitive to sounds and rhythms. For example, mesotons, who use very loud and dense voices in their folk music, therefore become unsensitive to more subtle sounds.
It's easy to recognise their singing - it sounds like a combination of ringing bells with flowing or falling water. Very nice, it can be very peaceful and calming, or playful and rhythmic.
Their language is very easy and catchy. That's why many of their phrasemes and idioms made their way to other subspecies everyday languages. The funny thing that with time some of them were distorted to an unrecognisable form, what later caused confusion and arguments about their origin.
They enjoy everything they do, and really know how to have fun. Their free time they spend eating, dancing and singing. They are very friendly and spontaneous. And of corse, noisy. Unfortunately, these qualities make them easy to hunt and kill (if killing is relevant in the wood they live in).
For those, who didn't see it- these are a 3 somatotypes in psychology (human psychology), with "a little" imagination..
The thing is that we, humans, are a very interesting specie, ha?
Each is a unique combination of the three somatotypes....
If anybody liked it,I'll describe mesotons and ectotons in this manner.
