Kriya Yoga

Hey.. I'm liking the book alot "autobiography about a Yogi" . I was wondering if it was kundalini activation(what its called today) when he experienced cosmic consciousness, thats not the main question. He speaks a lot about the essence of breath and he stated that due to certain things he cannot elaborate exactly on the secrets of this technique but i was wondering if anyone practices it or knows the technique??

Inspirational Kriya Yoga

Yes indeed Andi!

After reading "Autobiography of a Yogi" I felt inspired to learn about Kriya and was initiated into the practice by one of Kriya's leading yogis... Paramahansa Prajnanananda, an awesome fellow.

The breathing practices are indeed about cleansing the chakras and initiating Kundalini Activation. They lead to my own Transfiguration and 'cosmic consciousness' as described in the book (although the book doesn't teach you how).

In fact I was so inspired by the work, I felt guided to integrate the meditations into the Openhand work and now we guide related self realisation exercises on all our courses and retreats. It's not exactly Kriya now, but I would say an evolution of it.

I've even included some of the practices in my book Five Gateways. So yes, a powerful practice indeed!

i have your book and will

i have your book and will re-read the techniques you included but its awesome because i dont take breathing for granted anymore, and each time i think about my breath especially when i try to focus(meditate although what im doing is not really meditation due to all the sporadic thoughts that pop up and distract me) i feel when i do so that the breath is the key element but there is a long way , I relate this a lot with learning guitar two years ago. it was so hard in the beginning to feel it and let it flow but now i can and it took so much practice and will and patience and i have to look at meditating the same way if i want to progress .Smile thanks for the reply.
