only the law
wow, powerful film, thankyou.
It raise some powerful points and reiterates once again that
"The Natural Law has no mercy - it is only the Law." We can choose to live in harmony with that, or not, and the law or natural flow will keep on unfolding regardless.
We cannot change the fact that it will unfold, it will keep being 'the Natural Law', unrelenting and unwavering, but perhaps the choices and changes we make now will contribute not to IF things will change but to HOW it might happen and WHAT actually unfolds, both individually and globally (and beyond). For it seems that all action both on a collective and individual level has a knock on effect:
"No tree grows by itself, a tree is a community...
simply replanting trees is not replanting a community."
This is also something I've considered for a while. This idea of 'replanting trees' to replace 'resources' used can be viewed both literally and metaphorically. The idea that planting extra trees in order to somehow 'make up' for polluting, gobbling excess resources etc, is interesting to look at. The approach of 'dealing with' environmental issues by carbon offsetting, political assurances, carbon capture, more recycling, waste management schemes and so forth, how effective is it really? and what's more the idea represents society's desire generally to keep doing exactly what it wants (in terms of consumption, growth etc) but somehow 'patch over' or ignore the real issues and effects for as long as possible. It seems to be somewhat naive or tokenistic to expect such things to really address the issues at hand, yet this approach seems to be favoured more and more by society -
economy in trouble? print more money;
environment struggling? develop more technology to 'manage it';
crime rising? build more prisons;
wars escalating? send more soldiers;
resources dwindling? make grandiose gestures while ultimately ignoring the real issues!
etc.
who 'in power' is looking at the real issues, and the root causes, not just the effects, and then are actually prepared to do what is necessary to find balance again? not just 'manage the problem' so that society can teeter on in the same old ways for just a little bit longer?
It seems the answers to really addressing the causes are also implied within this film - in living in a holistic, spiritually mature and balanced way by being more aware of (and in harmony with) what is around us, and the 'Natural Law' (the flow of the Universe); as well as being more aware of ourSelves, and how the two are inherently inseparable. Less in the ego and more in a sense of Unity with all while at the same time acknowledging responsibility for our actions and ways of living as individuals - it seems that "everybody should be their own leader", before even attempting to suggest ways in which others might live.
what are we supposed to do?
I think a lot about what "only the law" said lately...
I'm thinking: Even if all this is an illusion still this is something that's supposed to teach me something...(even that is not certain)..But let's suppose that this is so...so there is something that I need to understand - to change inside myself - and is that enough to bring all the difference?
Does it work only from inside outside, or also vice versa?
I guess so
But if I don't eat meet, purchase an organic food only, recycle staff - this is a lie, as long as I take buses, use electricity - while reading very spiritual articles on internet, and do all that I have to do to survive in these conditions....
So I'm only making the process longer, while making myself feeling better (I'm so "pro-naturist"!!!) and it won't solve the problem..
Doesn't it make any sense that somehow we got to this point? How do we get back?
What are the suggestions? that everybody "turn down the lights"? to kill billions so that we'll be able to survive the natural way? to do what exactly?
All I get is to do my best in the present conditions, and wait - until a solution comes on itself..
Let time and nature do their job..
And what do you (anybody) suggest?
Thank you
Being the change
I believe that change can only happen within. This is the only choice we have. We can however be inspired by something we see 'out there' - it might remind us of something we have within that we can cultivate and allow to blossom. We can also inspire others by setting an example or radiating a higher vibrational frequency that others may recognise within themselves.
In my experience 'change within' happens as a result of letting go of that which no longer serves the evolutionary journey. It is inevitable that the world will then change too, although personally this (changing the world) is not my objective. My objective is simply to 'remember who I truly am'. In remembering who we truly are, it just happens to invite others to do the same.
Unless you go and live in the wilderness I cannot see how it is possible to avoid entirely things that may impact somehow the environment. This I feel is the reason that the entire system MUST collapse to create a new higher harmony where that which is not aligned with Mother Earth no longer exists.
In the meantime (and I can only speak for myself) I have a purpose! I feel guided to live the most compassionate life I can within what I have been given in order to carry out that purpose.
It feels to me as if Mother Earth is going to 'shake off the fleas' to reclaim herself. To create a new harmony - I say that's a wonderful thing!
what feels right
well said trin. I agree.
and In my view it feels that its not about what are we 'supposed to do' when confronted with these things, but about how we are Being within that - and if that sounds too 'wooly' what I mean is that in these situations and times we're being invited to listen to our real feelings about things, listen to our Heart, how we REALLY feel inside about something (when we're being completely honest with ourselves). and on listening to and acknowledging our Real Feelings about something, then to act from that place of understanding, not from a preconditioned idea of what is 'right' or 'wrong', and so 'feel out' what we're being 'invited' to do.
One way of looking at it is to consider that we live in an 'unnatural' world/society, and so at times its appropriate do or to use seemingly 'un-natural' things or tools in order to live harmoniously within it. It feels that its good to be aware of this, but also not to use it as an excuse to do whatever the ego desires! by 'looking within' we can find the appropriate balance.
As an example, maybe you have to drive to work in order to go to your job, and perhaps this makes you feel guilty about polluting the environment. But perhaps instead of feeling guilty about driving you could look deeper into the situation - at whether the job itself really 'serves' your Highest Truth and that of others. and if it does, and the only way to get there is to drive, then maybe you're suppose to drive there (and not feel guilty about it, but feel thankful that you have been given the opportunities and resources to do so). Perhaps the initial tightness that appears as 'guilty feelings' are just from society's conditioning, or they could even be inviting you to change how you're viewing the situation, perhaps to be more aware and thankful for the resources at your disposal for example - in this instance you may even consider driving to work as a necessary part of walking your path and a gift that you are able to do it (although there may still be ways you could do it more compassionately - lift sharing for example).
and on the other hand if you look within and find that actually the job itself doesn't serve, or makes you miserable or uptight, then you might ask perhaps why you are doing it and if there is something else you could be doing that does serve? it could be that feeling 'guilty' about driving might be an authentic impulse inviting you to look at your whole career and working life. and even if you cannot make changes immediately, perhaps there are changes you could work towards implementing in the future?
The key I feel is to be as honest as you can about how you feel inside about the choices you make and things you do (while allowing that you may make 'mistakes' at times) and where possible choose the 'highest choice' (which isn't necessarily the one that externally appears to be the most 'virtuous' or 'noble') - its the one that just FEELS 'right' inside!
My square head needs to organize the info :D
1. "Does it work only from inside outside, or also vice versa?"
you say - focus on the inside
that's what kabbalists said also, that changing the attitude, the thought, the mind will do, all the rest is "God's" job
It seems that all that is important is what we understand, feel, or in the other words what we become.
But then I loose it, because who is that important to besides us?..Is it that we just want to be the happiest we can?..
Does the universe really care?...It always confuses me..And then I tell myself - focus on what you care about..
I've read in some book, I think it was Elisabeth Haich's "Initiation"..mmm yes, it was there..
- that God's will is our most sacred wish..
2. "All I get is to do my best in the present conditions, and wait - until a solution comes on itself..
So doing the best will be according to what "I feel inside about the choices I make and things I do"
And you're perfectly right, feeling guilty won't help..
and it must be something not "spiritual" - because
1) it "feels" bad
2)it doesn't help very much in this case,
3)I don't beleive in punishment, guilt, etc in education..this is the way to grow slaves, I believe in love and finding the perfect conditions for something to grow its own best way - so it's not likely to me, that Nature would "educate" us this way...
Maybe it just gave us a freedom to do whatever we wish, even while hurting it, to learn and find the best conditions for our own growth? It just "says" something to correct us sometimes, but we don't hear it
3."Let time and nature do their job.."
I guess we feel the same - "It feels to me as if Mother Earth is going to 'shake off the fleas' to reclaim herself."
I would add - for our own good, like a parent, who lets the child climb on the floor and do whatever he wants, but then when he turns the gas on accidentally, here's a parent to stop the child from doing damage to himself and to others..
3."..the entire system MUST collapse" - that's more or less what I said yesterday to my husband
..like this quote about the end and the beginning, something must end, die, so that something new can be born, this is the way of life, isn't it?
So we're optimistic
serving your Highest truth

I know exactly what you mean here. As long as we are PROFOUNDLY HONEST within, we'll keep walking the path.
Keep shining!

Mother Earth Calling
A friend of mine that i met in a chat room sent me this video clip around a year ago. i cried not because i was sad but finally, we are making sence of it all. Even though our numbers are small. I know the Indian American concepts have always been true to me as well as other tribes. We are now understanding that we must unite as one, no judgements layed.
At a very young age i new that untouched nature was irreplaceable, but we cannot go back, and how do we live without technology. Yet i have dreamed of a technology that takes into consideration the laws of nature, was this our past or is it becoming our future...
Love Norma...
authentic use of technology
Hi Norma
I feel that perhaps there is a potential for technology to evolve as well. As Human Beings we have been given the capacity to invent and create, or for those creative energies to flow through us, and at the same time we have the capacity of free will in determining how we might work with these energies. As such I think if more and more people (including scientists, politicians, thinkers etc) tune into the Natural Flow of the Universe and to the voice within their Heart, then out of this increased awareness and compassion could emerge technology more in harmony with Mother Earth. If there is increased shift towards genuine compassionate and authentic living then I can see that this may well facilitate the development of more harmonious technology.
I also agree in some ways with your feeling that perhaps its not possible to live in the world at this time, without technology. Nor do I feel, in fact, that we're being invited to. Throughout mankind's evolution we've used and developed technology (from basic stone tools, to computers and spaceships and beyond). It seems that it is a part of the 'landscape' of reality that makes up Human Beings, so in my view technology cannot be judged as right or wrong. I think it would be of more value to look at WHAT we use it for, HOW we use it and how much of it do we REALLY need?
It seems that we live in a society that has become somewhat 'unnatural' or out of harmony with the flow of the Universe, and as such in order to live within such a world it seems appropriate to sometimes use products or tools that also may appear to be 'unnatural'. So I don't feel that using technology is necessarily wrong. Again it comes down to how we FEEL (both individually and collectively) on the 'inside', and how that expresses externally. If by using certain technology it is furthering our living in Truth (both on an Individual and collective level) or is used in authentic ways that have genuinely beneficial outcomes, then certain technology may well be considered, not just useful, but actually highly beneficial.
thanks for posting!
Ben
Ditto technology!
Yes ditto Ben - I totally agree.
We live in an unnatural world and technology can be very powerful for helping break down some of that distortion. Think about how powerful it is that we can all share via the internet for example! and youtube - two examples that are really helping accelerate the group consciousness.
Let's keep it going!

everything is in it's right place
Two days ago I've had a talk with my friend..
The subject was the determinism of everything that's happening.
All that we see today - the so called "Earth hurting" was ment to be. (this is not a statement, this is an assumption)
The nature itself brought us to this point.
And maybe it all is not that bad - for example, there's a theory, that global warming is preventing ice age during the last 5000 years..
Anyway, she was saying that all that "green attitude is not cool" and going out and making a lot of noise about this matter is not cool either.
I wouldn't go to cry loud about our relationship with nature or anything else..with ourselves to start with, for example..
But! Aren't these "green annoying people" part of the plan too?
I do feel that we wouldn't do anything without Nature's silent permission, but I think that it's up to us to find the balance and this search for the balance is created by collective tendency - part of us are not green at all, and others are going to manifest their greenness, so more people are aware...And this is how the balance achieved..
And yes, science and industry are looking for more friendly ways to use the environment, and this is ,I believe, mostly because of the "green noise".
Thankyou guys, for your
Thankyou guys, for your response to my question,
What i meant about the dream, was that i have dreams that come true i.e. i dream of the future, and i do literally see that technolongy will work with nature...
So yes we needed the noise...
My son is highly intelligent, so much so when he was in pre school the teacher ran out of puzzles to give him in the first week...his intelligence can get annoying for a mum because he challenges me, but it is such a blessing...So i take him out to nature and gently show him the importance of it, and of course children love it...
Life is his own path...but with the combination of this intelligence and his mother showing him nature maybe our future is already working for us...

Reflection
Dear Chris
I have just watched a Horizon documentary entitled "The Secret You". It was about consciousness and an attempt by the presenter to discover "who I really am". He was a mathematician and self confessed atheist which didn't surprise me as, in my experience, scientists can only believe that which can be scientifically proven (I'm so glad I've left those days behind).
During the documentary, they demonstrated that self awareness comes to us at between 18 and 24 months. Before that we are conscious but not self conscious. They also claimed that self awareness was a condition that only applies to humans and some primates.
I started to wonder is this the "correctable mistake" that you mention in your book? After all, is it not the awareness (or delusion) of self that fuels the ego and creates such negative human conditions as separation, judgement, greed, prejudice etc? Are these not the traits that also feed opposing consciousness and stifle our true qualities of compassion, empathy and unconditional love? I'm not a bible man but isn't this what went wrong originally in the Garden of Eden?!
Years of meditation have allowed me to lose my sense of self at will; to reconnect with the Source and experience that blissful oneness with all life. This is what feeds my soul and keeps me sane in a world of insanity.
You refer to us becoming the Observer. Does this mean being conscious rather than self conscious which is, presumably, the condition we are born with only to have it "conditioned" out of us.
The documentary tested for self awareness by getting toddlers to look in mirrors and notice when a red dot had been placed on their faces. Surely what we see in the mirror is nothing more than a reflection - it's not who we really are.
with love
Clive
The correctable mistake
Hi Clive,
You ask some very powerful questions indeed!
I observe that science has a couple of key problems. One, it tends not to recognise that we are all of the One. Second, it tends not to recognise the apparent duality that is our unique soul.
So we are pure presence that exists in and through all things, yet at the same time, we are each a unique expression of that presence. In other words, the soul flowing through your space is unique to you, but the pure presence from which it arises, is common to both of us.
Yes self awareness does fuel the ego. To a soul that is not fully evolved, not fully realised, identification happens to the vehicles through which it expresses - the bodymind. The purpose of life (from my perspective) is the perfection and expression of soul such that it can flow freely and unhindered through the bodymind like a surfer riding a wave.
In enlightenment, we do not have to switch off the outer world to feel this presence and neither do we need to switch off sense of self. Its just that sense of self changes - the fully awake soul provides a continual sense of the One Self through ALL experiences.
You could envisage it this way. Both of us are stood at the top of a mountain. You're wearing red tinted sunglasses and I'm wearing blue. The view is the same, but you experience it in a slightly different way to me.
You're right in a sense, identification with the ego is a part of the 'correctable mistake' of which I speak in my book Gateways of Light. Identification with self and with separation caused us to lose ourselves in the drama and then try to shape, control and manipulate it. We weren't content just to walk amongst the 'Garden of Eden' as intended.
In so doing, we created karma for ourselves and then manifested an Opposing Consciousness in turn to manipulate and control us - hence the society in which we're now living. This is how karma works. We have to relive all of the things we've ourselves imposed on the outer world.
We were once majestic, multi-dimensional beings totally interconnected with our universe. That divine gift has been intentionally bred out of us. The resultant species group - Homo Sapiens - was the 'mistake', but it is fortunately a correctable one.
Our Ascension is the correction. We are returning to the glorious beings of light we once were.
Chris
