Openhand: taking life to a whole new level
Until I began Openhand practice, I had never really been a meditator as such. Sure, yoga, and a deep connection with nature offered me profound and so called spiritual experiences, but I’d always presumed that I’d get bored with meditation - just sitting there doing nothing and all! Well, my preconceived thoughts about boredom, and concerns about the ability to still my mind couldn’t have been further from the truth. Practising the Openhand meditation techniques are literally blowing my mind!!! From the onset, and with continued regular practice my consciousness is ever expanding at a rate I was simply not expecting.
In my experience, this expansion is radically turning up my vibrational frequency, which translates to a growing awareness of divine presence beyond any preconceived ideas that I’d held. My ‘higher spiritual guidance’, used to be faintly in my awareness, fading in and out of focus, are now becoming a 'conscious' part of every moment of my life here. This awareness is particularly heightened during Openhand meditation, where I am very clearly experiencing the presence of higher guidance.
This morning I felt myself completely surrender and become what I can only describe as 'translucent' like clear flowing waters. It is not the first time, yet is clearer, more refined and blissful than ever. I literally danced with my higher guiding spirit self... divine joy was abundant as the I opened to impartial divine knowing on a level that I had never yet experienced in this lifetime. I have been powerfully, yet gently divinely guided for years, but now been invited to connect at an ever more profound and expanded level. I am truly blessed and thankful - Openhand has helped me to expand my consciousness, in order that I shed yet more layers of distortion and the filters that have prevented me fully realising myself before.
Life truly is a miracle! A blessing from the divine. I am eternally filled with gratitude. Thank You!!!
Hmmm, this makes sense, I
Hmmm, this makes sense, I have been experiencing spiritual unfolding for many years now. Other practices, such as yoga have been a catalyst to this awakening.
It seems though, in my experience that Openhand is a very powerful catalyst! Never have any other bunch of movements and breathing blessed me with such a profound expansion of consciousness. The expansion has blasted through distorted behaviour patterns like I just never expected, allowing me to embrace levels of peace and intuitive knowing that I had never fully experienced in this lifetime (and to be honest I'd considered myself to be somewhat laidback, peaceful and intuitively guided before). What is it that makes Openhand different to other practices?

What makes Openhand different?
What makes Openhand different from many other practices lies in it's approach which can be summarised as formless form. In other words a form for the practice is offered but then complete freedom is provided for the individual to express the experience as they are guided to do so within. There is no rigid adherence to the form - out of the form arises formlessness. In other words our own uniqueness.
In this way we remove expectation of a particular outcome (still mind for example) and we get an authentic experience of the true self - pure consciousness. The more we stay in the centre of this experience the more it expands and grows. Then the experiences can become truly profound - just as your's clearly are.
In many other practices, various forms of yoga for example, there is a fairly rigid adherence to a form or style. The practice itself becomes more important than the experience. This can lead to expectation and to me, expectation is the killer of all true experience.
Hope this helps,
Chris
This is so true! The deep
This is so true! The deep and revelational experiences only come when I am without expectation to any particular outcome.... I am lousy at 'trying' to still the mind for the sake of it. The funny thing is that when I surrender, losing all intention of stilling the mind - it seems to find a calm and peace all by itself anyway. Seems all we have to do is nothing. How beautifully ironic and simple.
Your reply helps alot. I did find practices like yoga beneficial in many ways, but restricitve as an expression of who I truly am. This is most definately not so with Openhand.

Thanks for your feedback Trin - most appreciated.
The old saying springs to mind - 'you can lead a horse to water but, you can't make it drink'!
As with all practices, Openhand is merely a catalyst. It is down to the individual to take the practice and find their own truth within it. Without commitment and purpose, Openhand Meditation is just a bunch of movements with breathing like any other spiritual practice.
What you are witnessing is a wonderful result of your commitment to your own unfolding.
Love
Chris
