Recently I've been asked on several occasions about fear and how we might deal with it so here are a few thoughts, experiences and suggestions that might be of interest...

Confronting and dealing with fear
When we step onto our path of soul guided evolution, there is frequently one seemingly unwelcome guest that we'll be called upon many times to encounter - fear. Fear is what holds us back from realising our full potential in life. It's what constricts the flow of divine love within us; it dims our inner light. But ALL fear is just a doorway through which to step into a greater expansion. Therefore fear is not to be feared at all but rather embraced as a tool by which to grow. If we can make this internal switch of perception about our fears, we'll find ourselves accelerating faster and faster into full Enlightenment. So how might we confront and deal with fear?

Heart felt "Thankyou!"
I'd like to thank everyone for the heart-warming feedback I received about our last newsletter "Making difficult decisions easier". Many have emailed and said how helpful they found it. It seems many of us are having to make some tough choices at the moment - my heart goes out to you all.

A couple of things have arisen from the exchange which I thought were important to address aswell hence this follow-up. Firstly the importance of going with the first choice we feel; please allow me to explain a little further...

Hi friends of Openhand. Recently I've found myself having to make some seemingly very difficult decisions in life. As I look more widely around me it strikes me that we're all going to be faced with some tough choices as the global economy moves into increasingly troubled waters. Of course at the highest level we create our reality including especially those difficult decisions. So why do we create such experiences? Are we having some great cosmic joke at our own expense? How can we make it more easy for ourselves to decide and find the best pathway forwards in life?

Passion that dissolves darkness
Hi friends of Openhand! It is 40 years ago today that the beloved peace activist Dr Martin Luther King was assassinated. Up to his death, he campaigned tirelessly for human equality and spiritual liberation. Even though he was so tragically taken from us, his love and his message remains as strong as ever. Today, I was divinely guided to this short video clip of his famous, deeply passionate last speech. Finding the perfection
Easter has arrived early this year and perhaps we might spare some of that spring prayer/meditation energy for the people of Tibet and other oppressed or disadvantaged people around the world. We are indeed living through times of great change and turbulence. As a 'lightworker' I sometimes feel like I'm walking a tightrope; paying attention to the difficulty and density we see all around us whilst at the same time not giving too much energy to it. For me I find it so important to notice the difficulty, but then to transcend it by finding the perfection in it and attuning to the lightness...

Has a powerful energetic Tsunami begun?
Whilst meditating over the weekend higher consciousness gave to me an image of a Bear and a very powerful warning which I felt compelled to share with you all: "Beware the Ides of March". It's a statement of course from Shakespeare's famous play "Julius Ceasar" where the emperor is warned by the soothsayers of impending disaster. So what specifically might the warning have been in reference to? Well shortly afterwards I received a link from a friend to an amazing amateur video clip on youtube. It's about how the economic financial meltdown in America is generating a growing shanti town in the once afluent (yes of all places) California...

Hi to all Openhanders!

As I write this I'm coughing and spluttering a little with a late winter cold. You know the ones I'm sure; head pounding, throat rasping and body feeling like its just been run over by the no.9 bus! Its so easy isn't it to become identified with mini dramas like this where the mind feels just like a roundabout with no exits. So what might be the solution? Well besides a visit to the local chemists (which never seems to work for me anyway), perhaps the solution might be to go inwards and realise that we have not just one bodily vehicle but others through which we might express ourselves...

The 4th Gateway
The journey to full spiritual awakening is a very rewarding one and clearly also very challenging. None more so than the 4th Gateway Transition which is where we unfold into Enlightenment itself. It is definitely a case of following the light through the darkened tunnel as we reconfront the trauma of past life experiences - our karma. It is no coincidence that it has been likened to a 'crucifixion of the ego'...
