Easter Message - Prayer for inner peace

Finding the perfection
Easter has arrived early this year and perhaps we might spare some of that spring prayer/meditation energy for the people of Tibet and other oppressed or disadvantaged people around the world. We are indeed living through times of great change and turbulence. As a 'lightworker' I sometimes feel like I'm walking a tightrope; paying attention to the difficulty and density we see all around us whilst at the same time not giving too much energy to it. For me I find it so important to notice the difficulty, but then to transcend it by finding the perfection in it and attuning to the lightness...
Attuning to the lightness
At Openhand we often speak of "attuning to the lightness" especially in times of difficulty. It seems though, our approach is not always fully understood or even accepted. So allow me to explain by using this analogy...
Imagine I'm riding a mountain bike down a steep rocky path. In order to steer a safe course, I need to notice the boulders. However if I focus on these boulders and give them too much attention, then my consciousness is sucked into them, I make them larger than they really are and they become the central part of my reality. The result is I miss the path and strike the boulders (I observe quite a tendency for the global activists amongst us to hit such boulders!). On the other hand, if I pay no attention to the boulders at all, then I float off into some new, illusionary reality and risk riding off the edge of the cliff all together!
For me the key is to realise that our pathway in life is formed from the boulders but in order to stay aligned to the path, I must focus on it and not the obstacles.
So consider for example the plight of the Tibetans right now. It seems to be an appalling abuse of human rights by the Chinese powers that be. Its enough to raise the energy within anyone. Indeed we may feel moved to protest and that might be entirely in line with our path (if you wish to petition about the current injustices in Tibet, please follow this link...click here). Lets not forget however that there are disadvantaged and oppressed people all over the world; Iraq, Gaza, Burma, Africa, just to name but a few. Lets also spare a thought for the financially disadvantaged like for instance the 100,000 children who sleep rough on Britain's streets every night.
Switch off and tune in So yes, we may feel moved to protest against many of the injustices around our world. However true freedom comes from peace within. As Ghandi once said "be the change you want to see in the world".
So this Easter, if you have a TV or still read the newspapers, you might feel inspired to switch off, take some extra moments of "still time" and tune into that blissful feeling of inner peace. If we can open up and relax in a world of tightness, we will move to the higher etheric vibrations and make a direct consciousness bridge with our brothers and sisters who are being disadvantaged. They may not always feel it, but it will be having an effect. Through the superconscious field we are raising their vibration and helping lift those that can be helped out of the energetic quagmire.
So helping those in need really does begin on our own 'doorstep'!
With love and best wishes to all this Easter
