Openhand Summer Retreat 2010 sharing

Trinity Bourne's picture

It is often said that time flies when you are having fun - I also notice how time seems to disappear when we touch a space of timeless soul sharing as we did during the Openhand summer retreat this year. The Openhand team were blessed with such a beautiful group of souls. It never ceases to amaze me when people are willing to commit to the unfolding spiritual journey. We shared tears, laughter, joy, movement and delicious conscious cusine.

Chris! You were on top form as ever! Thank you for you undying commitment to allowing the vehicle of Openhand to come in to being.

To those who found it very difficult to leave at the end I felt the tugging in my heart at saying farewell. You are still in my heart! I feel a connection that spans beyond the limitations of time and space.

Thank you all for shedding and daring to delve into your vulnerability with us. I know I speak on behalf of the Openhand Team when I say that I have the deepest respect for your courage and commitment to the path.

Keep walking. We look forward to crossing paths again.

In Love and Light

Retreat!!

Thank you to everyone at the retreat, it was just what I needed. I was sat in the meditation room on the first day and I genuinely had no idea until Chris asked me why I was sat there!! By the end I could see the mirrors and a lot of other things became clear about my life!!

The unfolding of synchrinizity to me, which had actually got me there in the first place unknowing to me, has genuinely changed my life, I have been lost in it since leaving the retreat. A couple of things to share at the minute, I could go on all day!! My indicators stopped working on my way home and miraculously started again when I put oil in the engine, (well after a car healer came to my rescue) and a glass of water I thought I had drunk half of (witnessed) was full again the next time I picked it up!! The wonders hey??

I have a lot to learn but I feel I have my legs back and i'm having a happy slow walk right now through life with open eyes!! My trip round town with my mum today was really funny!! all the signs and she is ignoring them!! I tried to tell her but she not listening yet ~ Give me time!!

One to try for anyone who hasn't yet!! I had a meditate in my dads jacuzzi bath Tuesday morning!! Well worth it!! I got out with new sensations all the way through my whole body!! Tingle heaven!!!!

Dinner tonight was a try out of vegan cooking lets just say I have a way to go to reach the high standards of Trinity's delights of the kitchen!! Which fitted so perfectly into our needs this weekend anyone would think she was a kitchen goddess!! I'm a believer!!

Forgot to mention!!

A particular song really fit with how this weekend has gone for me!! It is Norah Jones ~ Don't know why

My neighbour gave me a CD Album to copy last week Mumford and Sons ~ Sigh no more, well worth a listen too!!

xx

Golden long weekend...

has given me plenty to meditate on! Still don't really know how everything will unfold, but learning to be less anxious about this!!! It was wonderful meeting all the different people on the retreat with their varied viewpoints.

Many thanks to all. To other course participants, you will recognise me as the ginger one. Have decided to keep the name "Vishnu" from my resurrected Openhand account!

Great to read Kerry's comments.

Love to everyone...

Streaming synchronicity

Hi Kerry,

It was clear you were having an amazing opening and unfolding at the retreat - it can happen that when we're so receptive and surrendered, the synchronicity can start streaming in this way.

I'm so thrilled for you Smile

Chris

Streaming

Thank you Chris,

The flood gates have opened its not just streaming, I have to keep meditating every few hours to keep my energy in balance!! And my brain away from being too analytical!! I can say that's really not a bad thing!!

At the vets a little girl crept away from her parents to come sit next to me and then yesterday in town a wailing at the top of her lungs teenager walked past my way, so I can say the unfolding is still happening!! I'm very glad it has carried on but little nervous about having the colposcopy later in case the doc sets off another unfolding!!!! Wink Ha Ha well he will just have to cope if he does!!

Speak soon

New to the idea

Kerry seems to have found something interesting.

Great retreat!!!

Many thanks to Chris & Trinity, Ben and the rest of the Openhand team for the wonderful retreat, facilitation, food and loving energy.
I'm still buzzing and sparkling with the magical spirit of the course and the beautiful souls there. It was wonderful meeting you all!

In the meantime I've found the carrot cake recipe on the website (can't wait to try it out) and also bought some date syrup before leaving the UK (great stuff!).

I'm looking forward to connecting again at one of the Openhand events. You have an amazing dynamic going and really touch people on a deep level. Thanks for sharing it!

Much love to all,

Alexia*

PS: Kerry, check out the song "The Cave" on that Mumford & Sons Album. It has some interesting lyrics...

Everyone

Enjoy all the comments, I feel as if I were there..

Retreat

Thank you so much Trinity and Chris!

It was beautiful to see you two and the deep passion you have for your work. I feel really blessed. What you materialized is many of my dreams coming true. The way you help people, the way you are as persons and as a couple is deeply inspiring. Thank you!

After 12 years on the path I was totally disappointed with all the teachers and Gurus, either still cought in their power games, their money issues or totally alienated from daily life. Openhand feels very pure, the energy that comes through you is so kind and natural to me. The mixture of deep emotional release, powerfull meditations, wild passion for life & being in the body and your heartwarming humor is exactly what my soul wished for. My heart is singing!

The retreat came in perfect timing for a big breakthrough and was deep healing for me. Im feel like reborn, it is a total miracle. What happend after I left Glastonbury is totally amazing me. Life is testing me now in many ways and I observe I found a playful way to be with it and make best use of these opportunities. Wow! so beautiful to flow in this devine play and trust my soul.

We will see each other again soon.

Which recipe did we have at the retreat Trinity?? was it lips kissing or the first recipe on the treats page??

I'm a bit lost in all these new ingredients!! Maybe a store cupboard list for all us newbies would be a good idea!!?? Please?? And possibly a few tips on buying and using??

See you soon

Carob Celebrations

It was this one Kerry -

http://www.openhandweb.org/recipes_for_conscious_eating_desserts_and_swe...

I'll be writing these tips in the book - so I'll post on the Conscious Kitchen forum when I get it together too Innocent

For now, I recommend that you find your nearest local independent health food store for the ingredients we use. We are blessed in Glastonbury with an excellent one with everything we could ever need. When you come back to Glastonbury you might like to stock up!

Enjoy!

Trinity Cooking tips

Thanks Trinity, I'm not in as fortunate position as you are, its a bit hit and miss on health around these parts!! They like to hike up prices if it has healthy written on the packet!! Had to order date syrup, the woman had never heard of it in the health food shop in Longton when I went in the other day!! She was really surprised when she found it in her order book!!

Back home

A lot has been said already that I resonate with strongly. Originally I wanted to go to India but existence has brought me to this course instead and it turned out to be the perfect choice.

I have hardly ever felt more at home in a group of such diverse backgrounds.

Like David, I have met many teachers but your integrity and the totality of your commitment, Chris and Trin, are unparalleled. Thank you for being who you are, for all your personal attention and for sharing your highest visions and hopes with us. A special thanks to Chris for easing the path and helping me to say yes to the next step. I am also grateful to Trin, Ben and David (three post-course 'chance' encounters in five days!) for all the work in the background that is so easily overlooked.

Staying on in Glastonbury, I experienced one synchronicity after the other: from the man in the street who gave me a big bag of rubbish to dispose of - thereby reminding me of the job at hand - to the man who saw me climbing up to the Tor as he was walking down and who said very confidently: "You are going to make it, I know that you will". (Later, I was led to an ad in town which showed his photo and it transpired he was one of the local experts on the sacred sites and a guide leading tours of 'Avalon'.)

My soul does not care one bit about how long it has taken/will take or what the name of the Gateway is (even though the ego is nagging in the background how slow I am); the only thing it knows is an incredible joy at the prospect of slowly but surely finding my way home. It is a feeling as if the various pieces of the jigsaw puzzle of my life were gradually coming together to form one coherent whole. At almost fifty, I have the sense that my true life is about to begin. What an incredible journey!

With lots of Love to all my fellow travellers,
Tasneem
