Raw Sunflower Seed Pate and the Divine Spark of the Cosmos

Submitted by Trinity on Tue, 01/26/2016 - 22:13

Today we are going to shine like the sun, because this - my conscious kitchen friends - is no ordinary recipe... it is the ultimate vibration raising pate! I soak the sunflower seeds overnight, which starts the spouting process. Soaking unleashes an incredible life force from a dormant, raw seed. It's the same miraculous life force that wants to turn a humble seed into a glorious vibrant sunshine-yellow flower! Seeds are essentially sleeping until they become activated. Soaking them in water wakes them up. So you aren't just eating sunflower seeds anymore - you are eating a divine spark of the cosmos!

Benefits of soaking sunflower seeds before using

  1. Makes digestion so much easier (by neutralizing the phytates and enzyme inhibitors that are present)
  2. They are easier to blend
  3. Unleashes their 'Manna' (Spiritual Life Force)
  4. Increases the bio-availability of important nutrients (especially the B vitamins)
  5. Activates helpful enzymes that increase nutrient absorption

As well as soaked seeds, I am also using other noteworthy ingredients such as:

  • Raw coriander leaves (cilantro) and ground coriander - known for its deep cleansing properties (especially for helping to remove unwanted heavy metals from the body).
  • Lemon and lemon zest - an excellent blood tonic, along with its potent nourishing, antiseptic, antioxidant and deep cleansing benefits.
  • Raw garlic - which has impeccable heart healthy, anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant properties.

So, let's embrace these gift from Mother Nature. Let's raise our vibration. Let's make Raw Sprouted Sunflower Seed Pate. Please do check out this super quick visual video guide first (it's less than 90 seconds long)...

  • 100g (3/4 cup) raw sunflower seeds
  • 2 lemons
  • Lemon zest (up to 1 teaspoon)
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 heaped teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 bunch (60g) coriander leaves (cilantro)
  • 1 clove of garlic

  • Instructions

  • Soak sunflower seeds overnight (or for at least 7 hours), then drain and rinse.
  • Juice lemons and add to jug with soaked seeds.
  • Finely grate up to 1 teaspoon of lemon zest (to your preferred zingi-ness).
  • Add salt and ground coriander.
  • Crush garlic.
  • Roughly chop coriander leaves.
  • Blend until everything is blended together beautifully.
  • Enjoy!

Open *OK*

Thank you for your kind words Open. It's a pleasure to create conscious cuisine for the retreats and courses here at Avalon!

If people are interested, I'd also be write articles and share more about the spiritual nature of conscious cuisine. I am especially passionate about how different plants inspire the various energies bodies in our fields and balance/stimulate/help to heal the chakras. Herbs, spices and other plant-foods can support the spiritual journey in the most powerful of ways.

Trinity, that video and recipe are awesome! What I love about the video is that there are no words: just a straightforward, uncomplicated unfolding of "how to". And so beautifully filmed! My mouth was watering by the end of it. And sunflowers are such a good food source of vitamin E.

All the seeds my company uses are sprouted. We have an entire room dedicated to sprouting flax, chia, quinoa, pumpkin, sesame, sunflower, mung.

It's pretty clear to me what I am going to have today...sprouted sunflower pate! I am thinking of having it with pears.

love, tigger

That warms my heart to hear Tigger.
I am having a happy moment at the thought of you enjoying this with pears across the miles (something that has never crossed my mind, but sounds fab!).
Why am I not surprised that your company uses sprouted seeds... absolutely joyed to hear it :D
Lots of Love

Trinity - I would vote 'yes' to more articles on plants inspiring different energy bodies in our fields. Would love to see that.
Thank you for this recipe. Will be trying it for an upcoming Yurt party!
Tigger - boy, I would love to get into your sprouting room and see what you do there. Wow !! The world needs more of that energy...
Much love from my kitchen to everyone's kitchen as we fire up the blender for green breakfast smoothies. :)

I posted this recipe on Facebook yesterday. I'm making the sunflower pate tomorrow for lunchtime visitors.

I'm gradually trying out recipes from Angelicious and am increasingly feeling the life giving force of Mother Earth's divine cosmic sparks!

I appreciate your constant inspiration and encouragement to nurture our bodies and souls with aligned, revitalizing foods.

Much Love,

x Catherine

Fab to hear that Jan! I am in *good* - so I'll see what flows and share more about that. I do hope that your yurt is now being put to good use... it was an honour to have a tour whilst I was there last year. I can only imagine how it's looking now!
