Make poverty history

Every single day, 30,000 children are dying as a result of extreme poverty. We are all one - what we do to another we do to ourselves; what we let happen to another, we let happen to ourselves. Maybe we won't starve physically but the effects of global poverty may 'starve' us spiritually. This year, 2005, we finally have the resources, knowledge and opportunity to make poverty history. That is what the website 'Make Poverty History' is all about. It IS NOT AFTER YOUR MONEY, but there are some simple things you can do to help. Find out now by visiting the website...www.makepovertyhistory.org

World Children's Rescue Fund

Dr. Joseph Lam, founder of the World Children's Rescue Fund is asking compassionate people around the world to help him rescue the so called "rubbish kids" like the one in the photo. These children literally make their homes in the trash heaps we are creating around the world. Lung disease and TB stalk their little lives as well as disease and malnutrition. "Thanks to compassionate friends," says Dr. Lam, "to date we have sent £18.9 Million in drugs and other aid to these children - but much, much more is needed. These poor children are dying from an easily treatable and preventable disease. We must do more." If you would like to help, please visit the website of World Children's Rescue Fund ...click here
