"The awesome power of non efforting"

Can we live our lives without internal effort?
In society, we are encouraged to struggle and effort for the things we want. But what if this this actually takes us away from our true heart's longing? What if by letting go of all internal efforting, we witness the universe magically shaping to give us complete fulfilment?...

There is much talk and conjecture both in science and spirituality about a universal life energy. It is known as many things, Chi, Prana, ihund, Netter, Biomagnetic, the winds etc. etc. It is the energy from which the physical universe is made up.

In my view, it is that energy that arises from the separation between phenomenal things. So when the One Life - the absolute - exploded gloriously into being, sending waves of consciousness out into infinity, it is the opposing energy pulling back to the centre. If you like, it is the memory of the original harmonic condition of oneness. Some refer to it as 'soul'. Quite simply, the energy is love.

Science can actually 'see' these two counterbalancing forces. The natural flow outwards of the universe in the physical dimension is balanced by the flow inwards in quantum space (known as 'negative time space'). In other words where on the surface of the pond we see the ripples expanding outwards to ever increasing separation, the balance is retained by an undertow pulling back to the centre.

In my view the pull back to ever 'higher', more congruent and harmonious divine love is the one desire fuelling all others.

The flow outwards is experienced by the personality - the mind makes the physical universe 'real' and we live a life of separation dictated by emotional wants, needs and desires. In other words fear - the opposite of divine love.

The flow back to love is experienced through the heart. It's path is revealed by letting go of fear and following those experiences which give us joy - the 'music of the soul'.

The Egyptians called this loving energy 'ki' and its opposite 'ik'.

Therefore to experience the fullness of divine love, all we have to really do is surrender attachments to material outcomes and thereby release internal 'tightness'. To get back to higher degrees of oneness, we have to let go of the tension and effort.

It is then that we feel the greatest rush of energy - the greatest love - because we are completely at one with the flow back to the centre.

This then is the awesome power of non efforting.
