What life has taught me...
* I have learnt that Love knows no bounds.
* Every breath is a miracle.
* I have learnt that ALL things are sent to remind us of who we truly are.
* I have learnt that there are no coincidences, only momentous miracles to help us align to the absolute.
* All I see is part of me.
Always more...
What an awesome forum topic - thanks Trin!
What has life taught me?....
That I am perfect, and yet I can always be more,
because the moment is always more profound
than we think it is.
Enjoy!
Chris
what have i learned... so far
Soul speaks through Heart (expressing itself through authentic feelings) and this is the ONLY consistent compass to my truth and the Way. Through it I am not just living MY truth, but connected to ALL Truth. There seems little point in looking for answers externally, or trying to predict external outcomes, and NO-ONE else can tell you who you are or how to be. Go within, deep into the Heart and feelings and feel which direction the flow is going. Then surrender into that.
there are no coincidences, no chance encounters.
Everything in Life can be mirror, and everyone we encounter a teacher.
The more we let go of preconceptions, labels, distortions, ideas of how things 'should' be (however subtle), the more we can live as the moment. In doing so, the Universe unfolds in front of us.
Life is a Journey (cliched perhaps but true, at least relatively). This means there are no constants in it, save one - that which is at the Core of the one who is walking the journey. It is that which holds the journey and the journeyer, and flows through them, yet remains unmoved by them. Everything changes, but the changeless.
No one is perfect, everyone is perfect.
what life has taught me so far...
That I hold within me an innate wisdom. My souls light. I was born with it, and it comes forth in my times of need to shine a light on my truth to any given thought or situation.
Why I have even spent time 'questioning' that which I know in my heart is true, could be the existence of a 'very' strong ray five influence! which I know I have.
My Truth; so bright, so light, so right, so much loving, just sweeps away all doubts I may have. Therefore, I have learnt to trust in this wisdom above all else.
A few things I've noticed
I know nothing / I know everything
The more I let go of...... the more abundance I experience
Just when I think there are no more surprises:
Up pops another one!
for me, life presents a
for me, life presents a complex of roads... no matter which one the universe doesn;t judge. However it's solely a matter of letting go, on the path to discovering your true self. Like packing my bags for a neverending journey into the unknown, without any plans set forth; unconstrained by the mind, everything spontaneous, albeit to the point of bankruptcy or a lack of success, the storms would faze me not.
I really enjoyed all the insights and outsights every has to offer on this site. I am lucky I don't have to go so far to gain many great intellectual and spiritual enlightenments. Much appreciation.

Birds of a feather
Hi Jay,
Well if I may say so, you've clearly and very firmly got the true 'secret' about the journey - the key is surrender. Opening ourselves up fully to the moment and being prepared to have all our hopes, aspirations and dreams trodden in the dust of attachment until we grind away that which conceals who we are.
It's wonderful to share with a bird of a feather!

what life has taught me so far...thank it very much
It's a realy good topic
It taught me many things (like walking, talking, etc), but the most interesting to me are:
*paying attention
*flexibility in perception of the reality (as a result of understanding that any perception is subjective)
*sensitivity, understanding, respect and acception
*responsibility
*childishness in any age (which means not to forget the child in me and only add to that what's necessary) - it's taking with me qualities like curiousity, joy and jocosity, and this not taking things for granted, when everything is interesting
*ability to let go - because everything is transient and uncertain
I know that I'll remember many other lessons and hope I'll get some new ones too
Life so far.
Oooh what a great question.
Lesley's points hit the nail on the head but here are a couple of others.
*That I am in everything and everything is in me and all I need to do is attune to that particular point and I'm there.
*That within every beautiful moment can be found the point of utter stillness.
*That surrender is acknowledging and being with your issues, not attaining calmness by pretending they're not there.
My Life
I have learned that I have created everything in my life and I take full responsibility for it;
that my distortions, especially the karmic ones, are a gift and opportunity to free myself from limitation;
that it's when I am fully present I truly feel the joy and wonder of being incarnated on our beautiful planet and the unique opportunity for growth this gives me.
I am a work in progress uncovering the perfection that lies just beneath.
More or Less
The farther I go
The less I know
The more I learn, the less I know about before
Tom your answer resonated true for me and the Universe presented me with the lyrics from Ub40's Higher Ground!
With love and gratitude, Fiona
Moon and stars sit way up high
Earth and trees beneath them lie
The wind blows fragrant lullaby
To cool the night for you and I
On the wing the birds fly free
Leviathan tames angry sea
The flower waits for honeybee
The sunrise wakes new life in me.
And every hour of every day I'm learning more
The more I learn, the less I know about before
The less I know, the more I want to look around
Digging deep for clues on higher ground...
The fishes swim while rivers run
Through fields to feast my eyes upon
Intoxicated drinking from
The loving cup of burning sun
In dreams I'll crave familiar taste
Of whispered rain on weary face
Of kisses sweet and warm embrace
Another time another place
And every hour of everyday I'm learning more
The more I learn, the less I know about before
The less I know, the more I want to look around
Digging deep for clues on higher ground...
Fiona
I think it is healthy to always question our beliefs. We cannot raise our consciousness without examining honestly that which we think we know. We must search within and have faith in our intution. It is not important to be right. That is the criteria of the ego. What matters is the desire to find a higher and deeper truth, especially if it means sacrificing an attachment or two along the way.

Exactly where i need to be
Well the inspiring song lyrics that Margy put on really resonated with me. I had to have a listen to see what kind of song could hold these lyrics.
Thought i would post on the link to youtube if anyone wanted a listen as I think is is much better with the music.

Higher and deeper truths
Hi Tom,
Absolutely, thank you for that beautiful reminder. I also like that the song alludes to the support and guidance from the Universe, whose benevolant energy is with us on our journey, maybe our journey back to that "another time, another place". I've been learning to trust in that!
I'm also happy to sacrifice "an attachment or two (or ten) along the way" - lol
Om Shanti
