We Were Made for These Times

Submitted by tonya on Fri, 01/12/2018 - 11:39

They're challenging times aren't they? And not just for a minority of us, I’d wager, but for the majority. It's not easy for anyone - no matter what race, what gender we relate to, what country we live in - no matter how poor we are - or even how rich we are - to live in a world where those 'in power' do not have the human soul's best interests at heart; where species are dying off - and resources being depleted - at an alarming rate and the reality of climate change becoming ever harder to ignore - making it ever harder for us to distract ourselves or go into denial. And any of a whole range of other things are challenging us on a global scale. We are hurting. We are exposed. We are vulnerable.

You've always got the resources...inside!

But you know what, at the end of this very powerful year, we may be whipped up; we may be raw; we may be tired. But it's now, more than ever, that we need to realise - that no matter how raw, how tired we are, there are more resources still inside us. Has anyone found that? And it's at times like these, when everything appears to be falling apart, crumbling down around our ears that we need to find them - discover our unique gifts, find our passion, find our light - and shine it for all we're worth!

Because if this world has ever needed you to use your gifts, it's now.

As Clarissa Pinkola Estes, author of Women who Run with the Wolves, once expressed it...

'One of the most calming and powerful actions you can do to intervene in a stormy world is to stand up and show your soul. Soul on deck shines like gold in dark times.... Struggling souls catch light from other souls who are fully lit and willing to show it. If you would help to calm the tumult, this is one of the strongest things you can do.' Because it’s not about finding ways to patch up this aching world, put a plaster on the wound; it’s about finding our soul gifts, shining our light stronger despite the wound, despite our fear, despite our vulnerability.

Finding your greatest strength against the wall

It’s always been the same, in the history of this planet… it's been when humanity was pushed against the wall that we have found our greatest strengths (remember the story of the mother who, in a bid to save her child who was trapped underneath a car, lifted the car up singlehandedly to get him out - a feat that would perhaps not have been possible if she had not had the powerful motivation of saving a loved one?

‘There will always be times when you feel discouraged. I too have felt despair many times in my life, but I do not keep a chair for it,’ says Estes. ‘I will not entertain it. It is not allowed to eat from my plate.’

The reason is this, she says: ‘When a great ship is in harbour and moored, it is safe, there can be no doubt. But that is not what great ships are built for.’

Finding the inner passion

When we find that passion inside us, we’ll do anything – yes anything – to express it, to live it, no matter how choppy that ocean looks. And when we start to live from that passion and sail out onto the open sea and let our light shine for others to see, then we have the power to change things for ourselves and maybe other souls who can find their way from our bright shining light.

Blessings

I love your first article here Tonya - it's great when someone recognises your pain and allows it to be. We can move through so much faster that way.

Thanks for the great inspiration...reminds me of the song "Times Like These" by the Foo Fighters...

Thank you, Open

There's nothing quite like the Foo Fighters to get the inner fire started - and this might well be one of the tracks that I would choose to dance to (as mentioned in the article) to help 'kindle the flame'. Just the strum of that guitar is enough to ignite the passion in my heart. And then there's the raw wildness of Dave Gruhl's vocals. Mmmm hmmm.... <3

Thank you so much for the warm welcome - it's a pleasure and privilege to be writing on the Openhand website and I can feel more articles wanting to write themselves, so watch this space for more. And thank you, all, for your responses. I know some of you have been finding it hard to access the online form to apply for the free Discover your Unique Soul Gifts breakthrough session, so I'm reposting the URL here. If it's still not working for you, please feel free to drop me a line at tonya@littlewhitefeather.co.uk and we'll do what we can to get you started! Please note that all January slots have been filled, but I've extended my offer on a limited basis into February.

With all love and blessings on your personal path,

Dear Tonya,

I'm with you! Your passion is felt within and I feel it reverberating through the field as my own. I so love the quote you shared:

When a great ship is in harbour and moored, it is safe, there can be no doubt. But that is not what great ships are built for.

Yes! We didn't come here at this time for nothing, we're here to actively participate in the current shift, by allowing our personal frequencies to emanate. That's how we aid the evolution. That's it. Each of us is so very precious and important, exactly as we are. You say, "we may be tried", while shedding our societal beliefs and all else that's been added on. In the last paragraph of the article you really bring out the courage and inspiration to sail through the choppy waters, the trials ahead. What if for a moment we take it even a bit further and ask: Who is the one that is being tried? Who is the one concerned with the physical world collapsing? Who is the one afraid? Can we allow, honour and let go of the challenged, the suffering, the hard-working one too? Perhaps with that we could also drop the belief that it takes time and effort to let go?

I see we are now transcending all this and breaking the fear-based consensus. I see humanity creating new archetypes and reference points. Perhaps even these will soon be redundant! This inflection that is happening now can be painful, but it doesn't have to if we find the courage to surrender more. It's been a focus of my attention in the last few weeks while I've been pretty much cornered to explore new levels of letting go. It sure brought forth new realizations...

Each day it is becoming clearer to me that this 3D "reality" is just an echo of what is "really going on". I'm ceasing to see causality in the physical world. My energy doesn't want to be utilized to fix the physical world to prevent it from falling apart. Going within seems to be affecting the without in much more powerful way. I do feel it is important to pay close attention to what is being manifested: the cataclysms, the dying off species, people uniting to help those in need, depletion of resources, courageous whistleblowers. It is important, yes, but important doesn't entail literal. I feel not to go out there directly and set my focus on tinkering with the 3D outcomes, especially if I feel uncomfortable about them (this has been my knee-jerk reaction for most of my life...). Now it feels more like I'd rather go within and allow the right action (if any) to spring from there. The causality feels to be strongly with the consciousness, the rest is a beautiful and sometimes painful metaphor.

My soul is powered up, driven to reveal the impostor that is hiding behind the smoke of fear. Go straight into that and you'll reveal the illusion!

Onward!

Margaret

Awesome, Margaret. Thank you for your powerful sharing... and, as ever, your loving support!

I love this: 'Yes! We didn't come here at this time for nothing, we're here to actively participate in the current shift, by allowing our personal frequencies to emanate. That's how we aid the evolution. That's it. Each of us is so very precious and important, exactly as we are.'

That's exactly it. Each of us is so very precious and important to the unfolding and it is as we unfold our own unique divine gifts that we were seeded to unfold - we may not think they're much, in the grand scheme of things, but what we each have is so precious, so perfect, so important to the whole - that we can fully embody and engage and resonate these unique frequencies that are each of us.

And this: 'What if for a moment we take it even a bit further and ask: Who is the one that is being tried? Who is the one concerned with the physical world collapsing? Who is the one afraid? Can we allow, honour and let go of the challenged, the suffering, the hard-working one too? Perhaps with that we could also drop the belief that it takes time and effort to let go?'

It's all such a perfect mirror! If there's something painful, or uncomfortable being reflected back, then so much the better - it's just reflecting back the areas of us where we have yet to grow... And if we accept the invitation, keep questioning within, doing what's invited - and dropping through, and dropping through... then we finally expand through and we're onto the next stage of the journey!

All blessings on your path,

Tonya

Hi Tonya,

Great article!  You have a very passionate way of expressing that really comes through.

For me this article is very motivating.  You said:

But you know what, at the end of this very powerful year, we may be whipped up; we may be raw; we may be tired. But it's now, more than ever, that we need to realise - that no matter how raw, how tired we are, there are more resources still inside us. Has anyone found that?

Yes! I was surprised to find this recently.  It's like, when things are really beginning to tire me out, and I've just had enough, I suddenly discovered this well of will-power and commitment underneath it which was somehow being fuelled by the feeling of having enough.  Does that make sense?  Yes, sometimes it's ok to take a break from things, but sometimes it feels right to push on and go for it!  I feel greatly encouraged to have experienced this, know knowing that the resources are there.

Thank you so much for the reminder.

Much love

Rich

Hi Rich

Yes, I can see that - that 'well of will-power and commitment' and loving power, like a deep well, always just beneath the surface with you. One of your 'unique soul gifts', no doubt! And yes, it feels so important to honour the innate inner wisdom that knows when to push through what is resistance and when it truly is time to rest, doesn't it? Difficult to discern sometimes... but never impossible!

Thank you so much for your comments and, as ever, your gentle, loving support.

All power to you, Rich... Tonya
