Hi Vimal,

Your post about yoga and meditation classes resonates with me.

I offer sound baths and meditation classes locally and have often found myself looking at what other practitioners do to give me some new ideas on my own offerings.

However, I have started to feel that some practitioners offer gimmicks that in my view would not add value to the experience.

Not only that, I feel that any ideas for my services should come from me, whilst still being open to ideas that happen to appear in front of me from other sources, but not to go looking for them. I considered briefly adding in some of these gimmicks but it didn’t feel like me. My offering is unique to me, as is the uniqueness of the other practitioners offering.

I have found a level of peace with my offerings since I came to this realisation. Interestingly, after coming to this place internally, my latest sound bath event was fully booked. However, there’s a part of me that isn’t feeling that way about my meditation classes (I’m working on it!) and I’ve only got one person booked for the next class.

It’s the ego that has a problem when only one person (or nobody) books. I just need to find a way to be ok with that and let it go.

Thanks for the reminder Vimal!

Nikki 🙏
