spiritual leaderships

in regards to today's 'leaders', and as an interesting mirror to the Greek PM's latest 'leadership' actions, I've been inspired to read about the pope's latest speeches. I wouldn't endorse mainstream religion personally but its interesting what he's been expressing, and the timing of it.
Pope Francis who chose the name because he felt affinity with the values of the saint (Francis), has expressed quite a lot recently against capitalism, austerity, inequality, and about the importance of climate change action. He's also been calling to young people to take a stand for themselves and shake things up! How radical is that? a Pope who actually wants to change the status quo! Exciting times.

Also I saw the Dalai Lama made an appearance at this year's Glastonbury festival. Although the actual speech was very simple, and perhaps wasn't that amazing (in my view), it was interesting he made an appearance there.
It feels symbolic that some leaders at least (and interestingly religious leaders too) are connecting with the people and standing up and expressing, and talking about the condition of the world. actually quite inspired by what I read about the pope's speeches!
