words being limited

I felt like sharing with you Eddie - although we haven't met as yet in person - because I resonated a lot with your sentiment that words are limited in expressing the felt sense of experience of any kind. I find spoken/written word rich and moving but very limited in reaching the depths of one’s consciousness and heart. This sometimes makes me feel a bit frustrated and wanting to withdraw (conditioning arising, though sometimes withdrawing is very healthy!). When I then turn to inquire deeper about this frustration I find that there is a sense of primordial loss and an unmet longing (not craving) that wants to be heard and honoured. When this honouring and expression takes place then the discrepancy between the ‘felt sense’ and that which is articulated naturally settles and resolves and language emerges from non-language. Eugene Gendlin, a psychologist and philosopher, calls this space where language emerges from non-language “the edge of awareness”. For me, telepathic communication is ‘felt sense’ and rests just at that edge of awareness.
Lots of warm telepathic wishes.
