Hi Open,

We had literally just closed on the zoom event today and my computer put a little notice in the corner that said Beach Hazards Statement. It said "Just Issued". There's a Sneaker Wave event happening today where rogue ocean waves can run rapidly up on the beaches and catch people unaware. These are caused by small earthquakes out on the Cascadia Subduction Zone.

I laughed at that because we'd just been talking about the tsunamis. Sneaker waves are like mini tsunamis... The universe has a sense of humor for sure.
