That's a fresh perspective on my condition. In an overly 'managed self' and world any condition outside it may often seen as a failure,something to avoid.

Hiding is a bid for independence, from others, from mistaken ideas we have about our selves, from an oppressive and mistaken wish to keep us completely safe, completely ministered to, and therefore completely managed

It seemed to me to represent that deeply felt human need to creatively and subversively disappear; to turn away from the over lighted human world and not be found so that we can actually catch up with our selves and reappear in the world again more as we intuit we can be, possibly re-imagined, reinvigorated, regrown and rested; un-confined by the names we have accrued in the overly managed, human social worlds we are often forced to inhabit
