The Sweet Spot: Attaining Your Optimal State in Life and The Shift

Submitted by Open on

At the end of the day, when the Shift is done and dusted, what we can hope to be left with, is paradoxically, something that was always already there anyway - it's the simple felt sense of self, which is not always easy to find. In any given moment, there is a doorway and a key into this "Sweet Spot" of the self that is irreplaceable. So what then is the point of going with the Shift? Why not just settle back on the sofa of life? The Sweet Spot is in the paradox.

The Shift is What We're All About

If you're following Openhand, you'll know the Shift is what we're all about. Why is that the case?

We perceive that this is the dominant driving force of all life and all change that's happening right now. One of the greatest challenges out there, is where people are constantly trying to figure a fix for the injustices and inequities of life - everything that's morally bankrupt and breaking down.

That's understandable. The soul is working to break through and express rightness.

No Fixing the 3D/4D Reality

But there will be no fixing this 3D/4D reality. The paradox is, that as the soul breaks through, by its very nature, it reveals the duplicity and redundancy of the reality we're found ourselves embroiled within. It's the emergence of the sleeping giant in us that's steadily exposing the fabric of the deception for all to see.

That's the point: realise the driving dynamic of the Shift, in any given moment, and it will put you in the driving seat. Because it's the emergence itself that pulls the strings.

Where then, does self-acceptance come in, when everything is changing and transforming?

Self-Acceptance: The Deeper View

We must take a deeper view of what self-acceptance truly means. It's NOT accepting anything goes. Why not?

Because the Soul is a constantly learning, inquiring, venturing, and thriving creature. That's its very nature - due to the fact that (put scientifically) Unity Consciousness is constantly yearning to break through in the oscillation of the Torus. This is the natural dynamic of life.

So your soul is wanting to break through. The Shift is amplifying that. Where then do we find success in it all?

Success in Life

Success in life is to be found in the breaking through of any given moment, whatever you may be doing, and finding this felt-sense of self - it's the oscillating Torus (also called flowing Kundalini). It feels like an active presence, that's alive and attentive, whole and complete, yet inquiring into the direction of the moment and what it may bring.

It could be in getting the kids ready for school or even in driving the school bus for that matter - it's where your mission and objective for the moment become about revealing the self, and settling into that, where true success is to be found.

You're finding a fine balance with life: you're committed wholeheartedly to what you're engaged in; however, you're constantly breaking through the physical experience and settling back, just a degree, into this felt sense. It usually begins with the breath opening doorways. But with mastery, it's simply a decision in the moment, which becomes constant.

Now you're in your optimal state for your life, and whatever is going on in the external, you feel like you're succeeding. This is because the soul is being unleashed into life and constantly finding new ways to express. Yet all the while, you're in the witnesser state, resting in the background - even when life is hectic.

Here is the paradox then: The Sweet Spot of self-acceptance and your optimal state are not static!

Density and the Sweet Spot of Your Existence

Our True Self is ever growing, ever expressing, ever emerging, and ever actualising - providing we allow it to.

Now let's suppose you hit some density - you're feeling tired, heavy, down and depressed. The problem is allowing this state to define you by your separation from it. What do I mean? By not embracing it, you polarise with it and hold it in place - now it defines you. What's the alternative?

Feel into any such state and completely equalise with it by totally accepting it, not needing it to go away. There comes a point where you're so accepting, that it ceases to define you. Now you break through into the Sacred Ground within - and you centre in the Sweet Spot of your existence once more. It's like passing through the eye of the needle.

This is a high level of mastery, so you will likely find it comes and goes. But the more you pay attention to it, the more you equalise and break through the density, the more the Sweet Spot settles in your being until it takes over.

The Shift is The Driving Dynamic

The Shift is the driving dynamic of our lives right now - whether we embrace it or not.

It is the engine of necessary transformation.

Go with that. Inquire into it. Unravel with it - simply by breaking through any inner resistance that gets in the way.

Unleash the rightness of soul, in any given moment.

Now deepen into the felt-sense of that.

It's an awesome okayness.

It’s a good article. Simple yet profound. Self-acceptance is not static. Indeed, it’s a bottomless well. Each situation provides an opportunity to find it. I recall a couple of times I had simply lain down on the bed in an afternoon—something the mind would label as lazy and unproductive—but I allowed myself to feel into the tightness it had generated within. It opened into beautiful expansive states and profound self-acceptance. If I had not allowed myself to experience that, I would have missed that opportunity.

But I also like expressing myself and working through the challenging confrontation it produces. Because how can we say we have found self-acceptance without accepting ourselves in deeply challenging circumstances?

10/09/2025 Shift Insight: Self Acceptance

A crucial question for anyone to ask whose involved with the Shift, is where does self acceptance fit in? How does it balance with all the change and transformation?

That's what I'm addressing in this short article today. What do you feel about it?

Hi Open,

I have noticed that the more I have come to be in the sacred ground of being, the more it is impacting situations ‘out there’. Two family relationships recently blew up, one just a few days ago, and which has been the most significant relationship in my life. That person didn’t like how I was ‘being’ and appeared uncomfortable and out of sorts that I wasn’t interacting with their dramas.
Immediately after the interaction, I realised this relationship had been my safety net.
I had been feeling increasingly agitated and frustrated when interacting with this person (and the other family member) with feeling sucked into surface level conversations and dramas, and so it was inevitable that the relationships would break down or change drastically in some way.
And so, although there are identified issues I now need to work on, I have still felt a level of acceptance with it that has in some ways surprised me.
For me, self-acceptance in this situation means not giving up on how I am choosing to be, and not giving away my sovereignty just to maintain relationships with people who have always been there.

Nikki 🙏
