Refreshing experience
Hi Open,
I very much enjoyed the conversation. It felt very refreshing to hear your perspectives shared outside of Openhand community. It's hard for me to put my feelings around it into words but towards the end I had the sense of importance of all of it.
I have been considering OH space to be a very special place where I can have experiences closest to my own truth - but then I usually 'get out of there' back to matrix where this truth is not much visible. Now, though, this truth was actually shared 'outside' and I personally felt a deep significance of that, at least for me.... and maybe even into the wider field?

Dissolving karma
Dear Openhand,
Great podcast, happy to get acquainted with the Openhand work. Still not clear on why karma cannot be ‘dissolved’ having spent may years practicing disidentification with an ego. So karma may happen to a bodymind that has a context within a society or phenomal world order, but the consciousness peeking through those eyes isn’t associated with it. To everybody around it looks like that being is up to their neck in karma, but their consciousness is somewhere else, higher mind. The argument is that they’re in denial, but that is not what I’m referring to. A being can dis identify with anything, and if that is accomplished with ego. The lights are on but no care of karma is home.

If I understand you correctly, yes, someone could quite easily dis-identify from karma and density - they could internally decide to detach. However, from over 20 years experience working in groups around the world here, you cannot simply ditch karma. Although let me qualify that:
There are two aspects of karma: 1) The unrealised soul that attaches to a past life experience (or this one), and 'fragments' into the attachment; 2) The energetic debris that then builds around this fragmentation. The best way to imagine this is to consider a stream flowing down a mountain - it goes over a boulder and creates an eddy current (this would represent the fragmentation of soul). Then the eddy current collects twigs, leaves and debris in it - this is what causes the karmic pain.
Through concentrated work, or detachment, you could remove the debris and the pain would go away. However, this is self-defeating, because it doesn't heal the unrealised aspect of soul that got fragmented in the first place. This aspect continues to 'hang around' in the 4D causal body. And it will recreate down the path. And it will stop someone ascending into 5D.
That's why, in this work, we help people regress into the karmic past life experiences, equalise with them (by owning them) and then integrating through them at a soul level. That way, you don't have to regenerate the experiences somewhere down the path.

Thank-you so much for your explanation.
I can see how that path would be deeply enriching and an end in itself experientially in this realm. My feeling is that some souls are particularly attracted to and gifted in that area.
I’ve had plenty of paradigm shifts realising new iterations of self. But my sense is that those aspects are like outfits or clothing and fundamentally the unchanging aspect underneath remains unconditionally. It’s like the psychotherapy veterans of twenty years, they’re much the same as those without therapy. This has been widely accepted in those circles now.
I look from that wider perspective and intuition tells me that such a path would be a never ending kaleidoscope. Beautiful yes, masterful even, but keeps one wrapped up in the minutia surely? It is a matter of taste perhaps, this soul doesn’t care what outfits it wears or whether it’s evolved, right, wrong, good, bad, it doesn’t matter anymore.
On the other hand, to claim that one has no sense of an individual identity, is simply not true. To navigate the world of bodies and souls there must be boundaries. I will absolutely be following your work as it’s a powerful tool of self development no doubt. We cannot deny karma because it is there, but it is how we work with it respond to it.
I have an interesting recent addition to my karmic plane, working closely with a sociopath and the associated antics. For a detached and sovereign being, it should be a walk in the park. I would very much like to engage in some facilitation though, to practice this unique route of self enquiry.

That's like saying the soul doesn't care what vibration it is - but its vibration is ALL it is. 🌈
And then only an ego - a subtle spiritual one perhaps - would constrain or constrict freedom of expression of the soul.
Once the soul is released in its entirety, the full Soul-Ray-Harmonic, with no subtle ego discounting it, then starts to infuse through the bodymind. The bodymind becomes the forged sword for its unlimited, unbridled expression. No denying it - all in, full colour and all. 🤺
Denying its uniqueness is ultimately to deny the sovereignty of the soul. And since the sovereign relativity of the soul, and the absolute from which it flows, are in dynamic equilibrium, then to deny one, is also to deny the other - neither truly exists.
On the other hand, if there is a complete dissolving (of any layers of ego or karmic filter) into the soul, and no limitation of it, then the absolute arises effortlessly in the background.
I have found that this can be a limitation of Zen. There's a tendency to focus on the absolute, and path to it. You cannot aim for the absolute, and attain it - because who is aiming? It creates separation exactly in that moment that something within takes aim. And all you actually end up being in, is a detached bubble from the flow. It may feel like the real deal, but it is only attained through detachment.
Instead, in the Openhand approach, we work to dissolve all subtle identities (including wanting to arrive), instead, allowing the naturalness of the soul to take over. The absolute is then rendered as the background state, without anyone or anything aiming for it.
That's why full and unique expression of the soul is essential.
Dude, the very inquiry sounds to me like you're not in the soul fully, and therefore not in the absolute either. 🙏
