For all the control freaks like me :), from Jack Johnson's new album, the song 'You can't control it' with powerful video as well:

Just thought to share this song with you all here. It reminds me that even though the world at large is going through so many changes, we are all still doing pretty good! That and he is a really good Bard. Especially in today's day and age when you turn on the radio and stare in bewildered disbelief as the song of the moment only has one word in it. Just one word. Maybe its just me in the aspect that I like a good story in a song.
Anyways I'll leave y'all to it, hope you enjoy!

Yesterday, I saw the heart-soaring film "Lion" based on a true story. Indeed, the lion's heart leads us home. Felt to share Sia's upbeat song "Never Give Up" from the film. Speaks to me of the power of our twin flames going the distance with us, hand-in-hand. Through thick and thin.

Hi Etta,
Thanks for posting the link to the Rage Against the Machine song. It really is very effective, and I'll definitely come back to it (and all that it does) soon.
And when it was through and I was still sniffling, YouTube wanted to play another song by the band, and it was called "Take the Power Back".
Isn't the Universe awesome? ;-)
Lots of love,
Heike

Anyone dealing with religious past lives or any sort of persecution energy, or teenage angst or perhaps anger at OC..... then I highly recommend this song to get you right into the centre of the pain and express.

Very effective especially the end. However it contains explicit language so perhaps earphones if delicate ears are nearby.

Happe processing.
With love

This moving and inspiring song "Prayer of the Mothers" arose from an alliance made between singer-songwriter, Yael Deckelbaum, and a diverse group of courageous women who lead the movement of “Women Wage Peace". Includes brief message at end from Liberian peace activist and Nobel Peace Prize winner, Leymah Gbowee. Warms my heart to no end.

Hi Hannah,

Glad you liked it! Like you said, I don't usually like Rihanna - the lyrics from this song are spot on though and it's very artistically done. Every now and then little gems seem to come through in mainstream music with lyrics that really speak of a deeper understanding.

Thanks for sharing!

I loved this video, especially as this is one of my favourite songs. The combination of Leonard Cohen's stirring lyrics and the harmony of this band really gets me going.

Another great video by the same band (Pentatonix) is this one - the Evolution of Michael Jackson. It really showcases what people have been talking about their individual creativity to one whole piece.

I was a huge fan of Michael Jackson as a kid. He has some really soul stirring songs, and if you see some of the videos of him, you can see the emotion coming through. I know there was a lot of controversy around him, but I believe only a truly beautiful soul could sing some of these songs with such feeling.

Namaste, Leonard Cohen, sweet and gentle soul, poet king of hearts. Your achingly beautiful songs help to open wounds and let the light in.

"If it be your will
That a voice be true
From this broken hill
I will sing to you..."

I got inspired by the lyrics of this Disney song tonight:

Particularly, the following passage resonated: And the fears that once controlled me Can't get to me at all It's time to see what I can do To test the limits and break through No right, no wrong, no rules for me, I'm free!

Beautiful Natasha Bedingfield singing the majorly heart soaring song "Unwritten" (do forget the stupid Pantene commercial). It popped up on my car radio early this morning as I was driving to the sunlit beach, lost in a quandary about what to put on that blank page! Perfect synchronicity.

Thank you for the nudge, Pleiadian brothers and sisters. :)

Message received.

"Staring at the blank page
before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate
the words
that you could not find..."

Dirty window so open.

Rise

I really like the possible analogy in this video. Doubts, fears, judgement of what is, lack of faith in life - things that can pull you back, like a parachute on your back in a wind channel. However, you can learn to use these for your own benefit too, and the same 'parachute' can now lift you up so that you may rise...Lovely:)

"When, when the fire's at my feet again
And the vultures all start circling
They're whispering, "You're out of time,"
But still I rise

This is no mistake, no accident
When you think the final nail is in
Think again
Don't be surprised
I will still rise

I must stay conscious
Through the madness and chaos
So I call on my angels
They say

Oh, ye of so little faith
Don't doubt it, don't doubt it
Victory is in your veins
You know it, you know it
And you will not negotiate
Just fight it, just fight it
And be transformed"

"Now you've got me Open-handed,
Now you've got me lost for words."

I always knew Chris Martin was a not-so-secret Openhander.
And anyone who reads Breakthrough will understand why.

"Your skin, oh yeah your skin and bones
turn into something beautiful".

Rock on

Open *OK*

That was awesome Katie! Love the energy of the speakers voice and how it rolls into the music.... So uplifting and powerful! Thank you for sharing!! xx Jen

I came across this video today - it's such a great use of a Charly Chaplain speech, I love Chris Martins bones - this videos amazing imo xx

Thanks, Katie. Love this song and video by Coldplay. The yearning, the passion, the Charlie Chaplin synthesis, the courage, the images, the lyrics, the vibes, the feelings, the joy, the freedom. Zoom. Zoom.

"Come Fairies
Take me out of this dull world
For I would ride with you upon the wind
And dance upon the mountains
Like a flame!"
~William Butler Yeats

Hi Jen,

Thank you..:) I'm so glad it resonates with you.

Severance,
The birds of leaving call to us,
Yet here we stand
Endowed with the fear of flight.

Overland
The winds of change consume the land,
While we remain
In the shadow of summers now past.

When all the leaves
Have fallen and turned to dust,
Will we remain
Entrenched within our ways.

Indifference,
The plague that moves throughout this land
Omen signs
In the shapes of things to come.
Tomorrow's child is the only child.

This is a key song for me right now to feel into and let go of stuck, karmic energy. I love the images in the video. Escaping the matrix through the tunnel of darkness into the Light.

For all the misfits out there, here is Kelly Clarkson's warrior song, People Like Us. Soulmotion at its rockin' best -- a crucial piece of Openhand's 9-step process.

This song for me is not at all about the relationship between the woman and the man. More about the process of the union of the masculine and the feminine, wich culminates in the final phase called Rubedo or redness, in alchemy, a stage where blood (also as a metaphor for our spiritual essence) and passion enters the work. This leads us towards our Garden of Eden, the spiritual gold we've alwasy been seeking for. But in order to get there, we have to cross our Red Sea (our karma, if you will), and everything we've learnt so far on our path has to be integrated into our daily life. The colour of this sacred union is red (and also white - pls watch also the video). This, for me, is the Blood of Eden.

I caught sight of my reflection
I caught it in the window
I saw the darkness in my heart
I saw the signs of my undoing
They had been there from the start

And the darkness still has work to do
The knotted chord's untying
The heated and the holy
Oh they're sitting there on high
So secure with everything they're buying

In the blood of Eden lie the woman and the man
With the man in the woman and the woman in the man
In the blood of Eden lie the woman and the man
We wanted the the union oh the union of the woman, the woman and the man

Wow Mark it is wild to be seeing this rigt now as this song (the Peter Gabriel one...Blood of Eden) came to me last Fall...everytime I heard it, it brought me to tears and touched the deep yearning inside. I didn't completely understand why...your words are really beautiful and poignant here...thank you. Jen xxxx
