Your Ascension and the "Infinite Game": Be the Infinite Player!

Submitted by Open on Mon, 01/07/2019 - 06:19

The Spiritual Journey does not lead to some final accomplishment, some 'top of the mountain' or even some state of never-ending peace. Even "The Shift" or "The Event" as some call it, is a shift within a shift. Even the mystical State of Enlightenment is not an ending but a beginning. Think about this deeply for a moment. You can stop striving right now. There's phenomenal freedom in it. And if you can find your right alignment in this "Infinite Game", it will bring you continual joy and accomplishment...

The "Infinite Game"

The Spiritual Journey is not a finite accomplishment, it is an "Infinite Game", with no fixed landscape; it changes and transforms from one day to the next, from this moment to the next.

Breathe a deep sigh of relief, and let yourself become that which you truly are - the shape shifting infinite game player. As long as you understand the one basic rule of this Infinite Game, no matter where you are in it, no matter what the challenges or difficulties, no matter how low your resources are, there will always be another play.

So here is the fundamental underlying rule of this Infinite Spiritual Game. And when you know it, when it truly sinks in, then you'll find yourself always the winner in the game of life...

It is not about some finite accomplishment. Like Kundalini Activation, Processing all your Karma, Becoming Enlightened or Shifting into 5D. There is no end goal. The Universe is constantly dancing, changing, moving and morphing, and your soul is an intricate part of that movement. To have joy, happiness and sense of fulfillment, is to be in your soul and freely flowing as that, from one moment to the next; always actualising the next best version of you.

You see in this Infinite Game of the spiritual path, there is no ultimate ending. Yes, there will be finite accomplishments - becoming enlightened for example - but ultimately, there is no way of measuring the 'success' of 'getting there'. Because there is no ultimate destination.

So what is the point of life?

The Point of it All

Life sprang into being without intention, if it did, that would presuppose a 'creator' and then you're always left wondering what preceded the creator. Therefore if there was no God that began it all, there was no mind of God with a pre-determined purpose or point. And yet the Universe now seems to be always doing something. If we study it carefully, then one day the true meaning will land...

The Universe is constantly expressing itself. It's constantly reshaping, realigning and reforming to express the next superlative example of itself. Voila. That's it. There is absolutely nothing else going on!

I put it to you, that if we acknowledge and align with this principle, then it will furnish deep joy and satisfaction. To find true happiness in life, true success, is not to strive for some finite completion - that off-grid, eco-friendly house in the country; to attain Enlightenment; the whole planet living justly and fairly in harmony. These things may happen, and they may be worthwhile finite goals to work towards, yes. But truly successful people reveal one common thread to their lives:

that joy, happiness and success in life comes not from some finite measurement, but this.... the continual growth and development, the continual improvement, from one day to the next, of.... Yourself!

The Answer is all around...In Nature

Watch nature carefully. Consider a Tree. It reaches up to the sun and transforms light into energy. Does it ever stop? Does it ever give up? Does it ever say, "I don't have enough resources"? If it can express itself, if it has just enough water and nutrients at this moment to take another 'breath', then it will. And each moment it is working to do it better than it did before.

Watch any creature you care to mention in nature and look for the common thread. Each is being completely and wholely them. They work diligently in each moment to be more of them. They aren't efforting to be this. They're just being it!

And if you doubt in any way that they're constantly learning evolving and growing, then look more closely. I watched a guy feeding grapes to squirrels in a park in downtown Mahatten once. If he fed the squirrel an organic grape, he'd eat it right away, without hesitation. But if he fed the squirrel a non-organic grape, then the squirrel took the time and trouble to peel the skin off before eating. What marvel!

Finite Accomplishments in the Infinite Game

I put it to you that you're in this "Infinite Game". After Enlightenment you'll be carrying water and chopping wood. After the completion of this 5D Shift, there will be another in a different constellation. After we've attained nirvana in this Universe, there'll be another in the multiverse to work on. It is never-ending!

What can this mean for you right now? How can it liberate you right now? How can it help you find peace and contentment, yet at the same time, always finding joy in the accomplishment of unfolding more of your brilliant light?

Realise the spiritual journey is continually unfolding and never-ending. So there is nowhere to get to or nothing to strive for. You're in an Infinite Game. And yet within that, immediate goals to accomplish will present themselves - You're working through Kundalini Activation for example. Embrace what comes up, work through any limiting tightness or resistance, because to deny yourself as what you are is self-defeating and leads to frustration.

Be the squirrel - peel off that layer! But then don't sit there preening yourself because 'you've made it'. Peel off another layer, eat another grape, shine more!

How to Always be the Winner

You can't guarantee to win in a finite game that has defined rules and ever-increasing complexity of landscape. But you can always win in the Infinite Game...

all you have to do is take any aspect of your life that is presenting in your awareness right now, today, this moment: a particular relationship, your immediate job circumstances or an important event unfolding in your life. Contemplate how can you be more of you in that? Perhaps you can express more fully; maybe you could be more surrendered; maybe you could be more willful and determined; perhaps more diplomatic; you might find more empathy and compassion or be of service; maybe you could hold the space open longer for some altruistic magic to come through.

Check this viewpoint: it's about unleashing the Characteristics of Your Soul

I guarantee you that when your perspective changes from 'what you need to do', and switches instead to 'how can you be more of you', then you will always win. And what's more, when you switch to this allegiance, then the Universe always comes to meet you. I find you always have enough resources and energy, you always have a 'vehicle' to make that change, to fulfill that expression. Because the entirety of the Universe is working to do that in every part of it. And what's more, here's the divine paradox: you actually accomplish more, far more than you ever dreamed of!

I can tell you this is just such a magical freedom, the most incredible release.

You are the Eternal Shape-Shifting Shaman

At your heart, you are the enternal shape-shifting shaman; you are the continual cosmic blade runner. You just keep getting better. Constant possibility of accomplishment will present itself. And it's never-ending, because you've become the Infinite Game Player. And you can decide to become that right now.

Voila. There you are. Magnificent!

Woah, having woken up to this article, the first thing I do is look at utube. This clip, for me, mirrors the message with many layers of humour. Let go? I want to scream with laughter. The universe makes for the best playmate...

23/03/2024: Shift Update - The Infinite Game

I felt to feature this article again today, about treating life as an "Infinite Game", because I think this can greatly help people mediate through this challenging world and the unfolding shift before us. What is meant from the term and how can it help us? The challenge of the 3D world and the way society is orchestrated, is that you're always looking to attain goals "out there", meaning you're constantly encouraged to acquire or gain something - making a trip to the store, going to work for the day to attain resources, planning to meet friends, fixing this or that. If you take a look at your typical day, I'm sure you'll get what I mean. And that's even before we look at medium and long-term objectives.

Consider even spiritual objectives: "I'm so looking forwards to the completion of the shift, so that all this craziness will have washed away".

Paradoxically, with this kind or orientation, you're always setting yourself up for failure. How so? It's because you're tethering yourself to the need for a particular outcome. When in actual fact, the universe isn't about that. It's about unleashing the fullness of being and watching reality crystallise around that.

Why then are people so allured by trying to manipulate the crystallisation - 3D reality - itself?

The Continual External Attraction of the Ego

I witness it's often because when you do come into your True Self, then reality does shape around it in the most profound of ways - it delivers wonderful harmonies in the outer, that if you're not careful, the ego then attaches to, and so you bounce out of the True Self. The more you want, the more you get lost in manipulating the external, the crystallisation.

Instead I'm suggesting a shift in perspective, which can be pretty subtle within, yet furnish a whole new way of living and being, which is ALWAYS successful. What I'm suggesting is to give up the need for the outcome of any given situation to go this way or that. Instead, always look for how you're being invited to be now? How can you be more of you? How can you be the next highest version of you?

Every situation in life, no matter how it goes, is inviting this. And when you step square and centre into this driving dynamic, then you become the infinite game player. You'll find there's always the next step to play, always the next possibility and crystallisation of reality which you don't have to effort for. And by working to embody the next deepest sense of you, the next highest iteration of you, then paradoxically you'll find the outer becomes increasingly harmonious and simply "right", whatever that is.

To be clear, in any given situation, what you're really looking for is the feeling sense of self. What does it feel like when you're being the grandest version of you? Focus on this. Pay attention to this. Embody this.

Stepping into the Crucible of Life

It's also crucial to say it is still important to commit yourself to the unfolding steps - even to the goals that naturally present, including the short-term ones. There's an invitation to step towards them. Without doing so, if your energy becomes wishy-washy and noncommital, then you don't expose the density within or unleash the next highest version of you. You have to be prepared to step into the crucible of life in order to forge the soul. So commit with gusto, BUT, be always watching and centred within your True Self and working to gain a deeper understanding and embodiment of yourself - embodiment as a perception feeling sense of who you are.

Then all you have to do is keep doing it. Keep expressing and keep embodying. You become the infinite game player and in any given situation in life, how ever the extrernal crystallises, you will always be the winner. You will always have the next step to take, the next hand to play.

Hi Open,

Today my 2 friends got the VIR vaxx and I had been stressed over that, but had made my peace with it.  I went out to my new greenhouse and planted some new flowers into a wheelbarrow sitting outside the greenhouse door.  It started to rain but that didn't deter me because I'm a weather lover.  So I got bright red mini Carnations, brilliant blue-flowered Lithodora planted along with the Lamb's Ears that were already growing, and a tiny Nasturtium a bird must have dropped for me and it sprouted.  I love them.  I got it all planted while it was raining and felt so much happier afterwards.  Nature is always a great medicine when I'm sad.  The rain helped wash the sadness away.

Thank you for the reminder article.  Praying EmojiHeart

Thank you for this truth. What a blessed relief it is to stand back for a moment and take this in. This is just right for where I am, the term 'go with the flow.' Comes to mind. The infinite game, yes I'm.

Hi Marije, this stood out...

My mind can reason all the logic of the infinite game, yet there is still a part of me that focuses on the finite accomplishments in relation or comparison to others

Let's look for the truth in every distortion. Finite accomplishments are like steps on the infinite journey. The invitation is to take each step, because that's where we get the experience and growth. Without them, the tendency is to slip into complacency and inertia. Actually I think it's fine to look at what others are doing - especially those drawn to your landscape. Just to look for how that relates into your own particular journey - you're looking for resonances, not exact reflections - that's where the distortion hooks in. Slightly Smiling

Vimal - of course! "Everything I see is a reflection of me". Great that you see it!

Love to all

What a brilliant article Open and an empowering video too. It feels so timely that I have been stuck in the comparison game and feeling of inadequacy for a couple of days and there has been some breakthrough and realization plus I saw am important dream yesterday.

In the dream I'm playing a game with some kids and this little girl tries to outdo me. Later when I confront her, I learn that she is under so much of pain because of the lack of a father and love and hence trying to fill it with accomplishment. That's when my brother comes to the picture and we try to outdo each other. What a game. Ofcourse all of it is me!

When I look at my path of realization, I could safely say that I'm being more of me each day. Sometimes it's not clear  yet when I look back it's obvious. But at each boulder theres something for me to compare to as I'm bringing this finite game to the infinite. If it'd not spiritual, then maybe its looking at the resources others have or the experiences they build. It's gets triggered mostly when I'm at place of uncertainity and I don't know which way to go, how to be independent and make a living. In a 3D sense it looks like it's all going backwards. Nothibg is guaranteed and it may not be linear. But what's there is a trust somehwhere deep inside that no matter what happens, there will be support.

Like you said, it's a relief to get out from the finite game atleast once in a while.

Wow! Just love this article Open!

Recently I have realized how comparison redirects the creative flow.  This has prompted me to take some extended time away from social media as it seems to bring me into this “finite game” as Simon Sinek so eloquently put it. When I am in that place I notice that whatever arises within feels inadequate or not unique enough, things get suppressed and judged within that comparison cauldron. Stepping away from that, I find I rejoin the flow of creative possibilities with a sense of joy rather than lack.

The infinite game! How beautiful - nowhere to get to and nothing to strive for... as you said. And yet, things do arise, there is the impulse to create, to engage, to refine.
