Vote 4 Consciousness

Submitted by Open on Sun, 03/13/2016 - 12:34

So the US Presidential Campaign has irrupted in physical aggression between the Trump supporters and his detractors. The only real surprise is it's taken so long: Mr Trump's abusive rhetoric has been aimed in all manner of judgmental directions. Perhaps one great surprise though, is that his overt judgmentalism, has still attracted millions of supporters. Sadly, it has to reflect the state of mainstream consciousness. But these are challenging times we're moving into. There's so much fear being evoked; souls can feel the foundational energy of the old reality being unwound. What can evolving people do to smooth the waters?...

Not so 'Smashing' Heat Records

Submitted by Open on Mon, 03/07/2016 - 17:46

Anyone who follows Openhand will know we're certainly not afraid of the truth. Confronting the truth of life is, to us, the only way to truly set yourself free. You'll have to work with some deep karmic challenges in the process, but let's face it, that's what you're really here for. Despite the denyers (really? still?), climate change is seriously hitting the fan. According to the UK's Guardian, it appears January 2016 was the most abnormally hot month in history. In December, temperatures in the Arctic were a massive 30-35 degrees above normal. The director of the US National Snow and Ice Data Centre described the conditions as "absurd". How can evolving people work with this very inconvenient truth?...

Trinity's 'Ginger Ninja Flu Shot' to keep you super healthy in flu season

Submitted by Trinity on Thu, 03/03/2016 - 19:47

There’s nothing like a Ginger Ninja Flu Shot Juice to blast away those nasties! During the colder months, with central heating, confined spaces and less fresh air we are exposed to so many more viruses, like the flu. I am however, pleased to say that I have a few tried and tested tricks to keep those invading organisms at bay. Once those nasties take hold it is harder to shift them. However, if you’ve fallen prey to the flu or some other illness that wants to wipe you out, then you can kick back with a shot of super charged goodness. Here's how...

Giving Humanity and the Planet a 'Fighting' Chance

Submitted by Open on Tue, 03/01/2016 - 18:23

The world is accelerating toward the cliff edge of catastrophic collapse. Excessive global consumption is destroying the biosphere, way beyond what can ultimately be sustainable. The curious fact is that so many people truly know this, in their heart of hearts, yet do nothing about it. But all life is interconnected, so the more such misalignment is disregarded, the stronger the realigning force builds to break the out-of-touch reality down. This realigning energy is then felt within the soul, and begins to impact people's lives anyway. Right now, there's a strong opinion in Britain to leave the European Union, which is a good thing in terms of realignment. Why is it of vital importance to all evolving people?...

The Amazing Benefits of Cardamom (with recipes)

Submitted by Trinity on Wed, 02/24/2016 - 20:52

Cardamom is one of the most valued spices in the world, with an intense aromatic flavour, used to bring out the best in both savoury and sweet dishes. Its etheric eloquence, culinary magic and outstanding healing powers have earned it the title “Queen Of Spices”.

This magical spice enjoys a colourful history dating back thousands of years. Spiritually, the energy of cardamom has the power to cut through the confusion of a busy mind, creating more clarity, whilst helping to lift heavy, depressed feelings. Cardamom encourages us to become more present, in the ‘here-and-now’, as well as helping to open the third-eye to awaken out inner realms of deeper insight.

Uncovering the Amazing Power of Gratitude

Submitted by Fiona Reilly on Fri, 02/12/2016 - 07:06

What brings joy to your life? What blessings are you grateful for? What fills your heart? Bringing more awareness to gratitude in our daily lives can have a very positive and uplifting effect. It helps us to see the joy that is ever present in our lives. The scent of a flower, a smile from a stranger, the taste of a piece of fruit, the wind in my hair, clouds in the sky... these are a few of the simple things that fill my heart with joy and gratitude, reminding me of the beauty of this life...

A Star is Born - Angelic Inspiration (by Solara)

Submitted by Open on Sat, 02/06/2016 - 07:09

I recently came across a profound poem, gifted by an Openhander, which shares an incredible exploration of reality, as seen from an angelic perspective. What exactly are angels? How are they helping transmute 3rd Density into 5th? These are deeply complex metaphysical phenomena, and yet here in this poem, it is so exquisitely and eloquently explained, more advanced than any science, as deft as an angels feather. It is clear to me, that the person writing this, has direct first hand experience of which they speak. So take some time, quieten, be in peace, then as you read, see the images and feel the feelings it initiates. So easy is it to be disconnected in this dense place. It's time to explore what interconnectivity and our greater cosmic reality is really all about...

The Revenant - a film to activate karma

Submitted by Open on Thu, 02/04/2016 - 18:45

Every now and then a powerful film shows up that speaks into the depths of humanity's soul. To me, "The Revenant" with Leonardo Di Caprio is just such a film. It tells the factual story of Hugh Glass - a legendary frontiersman - mauled by a bear and left for dead in the wilderness by an unscrupulous colleague. So as to disguise his culpability, the colleague takes the life of Glass's son, as he is powerless to respond. Glass fights his way back to fitness and goes off in search of the colleague. If you still have it, this film is sure to activate the karmic pain of humanity's brutal past. One each must work to find peace with...

Injustice on Planet Earth stretched to Breaking Point

Submitted by Open on Wed, 01/20/2016 - 06:58

A report by the charity Oxfam has recently revealed a staggering fact about injustice and inequity on our planet: 62 people, just enough to fill a reasonable sized coach, now own as much wealth, as the poorest 3.6 billion. Does that not bowl you over? And the wealth of the poorest, in comparison to the richest, fell a whopping 41% after the credit crunch. Doesn't that tell you something else? The level of injustice and inequity on our planet has reached breaking point, and those that lead, seem either ignorant or careless. Such injustice is woefully misaligned from a consciousness viewpoint. It won't continue. It can't continue indefinitely. I do believe we're fast reaching a climatic crux point. What can evolving people do?...

The Importance of Spiritual Hibernation

Submitted by Open on Thu, 01/14/2016 - 19:08

It's cold in England right now. The leaves are on the ground, the birds are flitting around the garden, feeding on last minute bugs, building fat for the winter. Nature knows how to work with the changing seasons. Sadly, humanity all-too-frequently does not! But no matter. Just the sense and the idea of 'hibernation', if only for a few hours, can feel like you've been sleeping all winter (if you get it right).

Sometimes that's exactly what you need. It's important to honour these feelings. Because you're worth it!...

How being Alone becomes "All-One"

Submitted by Fiona Reilly on Wed, 01/13/2016 - 06:23

Recently I found myself with lots of solitary time. Part of me really cherishes such quiet time and is increasingly at ease with my own company, while another part of me at times feels the pain of what Jung termed "existential aloneness". I see existential aloneness as the sense of separation that we experience when we incarnate into human form. We feel a separation from Source. I believe this is necessary so we can find our selves again and know who we truly are. There needs to be relativity, we cannot know our light until we know our darkness.

"I want to know if you can be alone with yourself and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments" Oriah Mountain Dreamer.

Bowie lives on in us all - Express Yourself!

Submitted by Open on Mon, 01/11/2016 - 18:59

It is with great sadness I learned today of David Bowie's passing. Whether you admired him or not, he was an iconic figure who set the world music scene on fire. But to me, there was much more to his act than music. Bowie had the audacity to be what he felt to be, with nothing holding back. In so doing, he set down a trail-blazing example that inspired millions. It's clear humanity has been repressed into a box, and that unbridled self-expression, is a powerful path to soul liberation. It's why I sometimes play emotive Bowie's music in Openhand work - to get people moving. I like to think that with his passing, a part of his influence will live on in us all...
