Profound Self-Honesty Within the Shift...And Why It's So Important
We're at an inflexion point between the Old Paradigm and New, where old consciousness constructs are being challenged and broken down. Yet the old form of our lives can still be compelling; Homo sapiens is hard-wired for inertia, self-protection and comfort - there's a tendency not to risk change if we don't have to. Plenty of people around us are NOT going with Shift. And therefore, it's going to require a very special, important quality: profound self-honesty. It's utterly essential to our progression. Let's explore.
(remastered 11/12/2025)
Inflexion Point & The Old Homo Sapiens
We're at a crucial Inflexion Point in the Shift, where the energies are building for strong acceleration and exponential growth. It's because the vibrational speed of our planet is changing, as the electromagnetic field of the old construct gets challenged and weakened. In short, the natural Flower of Life Torus in us, and all life, is yearning to regenerate.
Sounds good, right?
Yes, but... We also have to understand that this is going to heftily challenge the limitations of the old karmic construct we might be languishing within; whether in relationships or how we live and work. The situation is compelling us to make fundamental changes. The problem?... The Old Homo sapiens in us.
The Old Homo sapiens has been purposefully hard-wired for comfort, ease, inertia and security - why take a risk if you don't have to? It's clear to me, that this hard-wiring, although perhaps emanating way back in history, has been very much contorted and amplified to fit within the planetary Simulation today. If you can get comfort from the 3-second dopamine hit of social media (for example), why invest energy in real change?
Stay up to speed, with leading-edge insights from the frontline of the Shift...
Real Change Requires Real Risk
Real change requires real risk. It requires us to confront, and break down, the limitations of the box we find ourselves in. It requires us to interrupt the old conditioning, the old patterns and behaviours, by resisting the old pathways we tend to repeat - day in, day out.
It's the classic scene from The Matrix, where Neo is finding the awakening all too much, and wants to exit the car to return to his former life; Trinity reminds him: "You have been down there, Neo. You know that road, you know exactly where it ends. And I know that's not where you want to be".
At this point, it takes commitment, drive, risk, and the determination to change - because you know where the old path leads.
Once you summon the determination to change, that's not the end of the game, however. It's only the beginning. Because now you'll be stepping into the unknown, internally. And that's uncomfortable - that's where the Homo sapiens hard-wiring kicks in. You've have to keep confronting that inwardly, and breaking it down, applying something like the Openhand Breakthrough Approach.
Watch this Demo on how to break through
unconscious limitations and restrictions
If you're determined, you will break through, and you will open the space. And that leads to a new pathway that is more informed by the soul.
However, here's where we also need to be wary of the Spiritual Identity - The Imposter of the Soul. What is this?
Confronting the Imposter of the Soul
You'll have been walking the path of the soul for some time. But then, suddenly you wonder why you're stuck - why life isn't changing as it could (or should) in the Shift?
You've worked hard to find new soul rays of expression, because you've realised these are the real game-changers of life. At Openhand, we call them the 9-Rays of Consciousness...

When you break through Old Homo sapiens density, open an internal space, and attune one of these rays (or a harmonic of them), then you're setting authentic beingness loose into the field. Now, the quantum field bends around what you are being - great!
However, you're going to have to deal with the cleverest trickster of all - the Imposter of the Soul.
It's a shadow of the soul which forms, that knows the 'spiritual truth', and then subtly controls life so as to hide in the psyche and protect itself.
Typical Imposters of the Soul:
For example: we all know about the ray 2 of surrender - most people begin the journey by surrendering a need for an outcome, so that they get into the soul in the first place. However, the Imposter gets to know, and mimic, surrender, when in actual fact, the pathway might be to apply strength and commitment so as to drive on through.
An Imposter of the Ray 4 might like to harmonise with a given situation (a family dynamic, for example) "Because it doesn't feel compassionate to rock the boat".
An Impostor of the Ray 7, that of flow and spontaneity, might prevent someone from truly committing to a situation of required graft, grit and hard work.
An Imposter of the Ray 5 might always be looking for perfection, and so they never get anything accomplished.
On the Ray 6, the Imposter might constantly prevaricate in situations that "aren't the perfect environment for it to be authentic", or else "not the perfect timing", so they don't actually take a life-changing step.

in this Article
Due to the prevalence of Homo sapiens hard-wiring in the beginning, and the Imposter of the Soul syndrome further down the path, we're going to need to apply the quality of profound self-honesty to break through.
How best to apply that?
Step into the Friction
It's to allow yourself to step into confrontations and situations that aren't comfortable - that are challenging, and present some risk.
Maybe you've previously stepped out of the Matrix to connect with the Soul, and attune to it, but now it's guiding you back in, in a boundaried way, so as to confront previous conditioning and hard-wiring. Perhaps to find sovereignty and learn to set boundaries?
The discomfort that comes with this is NOT a reason to turn back - although the spiritual ego (the Imposter) might be telling you: "Take the path of ease". But is this backed by signs and synchronicity? Most importantly, by taking a particular pathway, does it invite inner growth and change?
Especially, does it invite the breakdown of the ego in some way?

If you're truly growing and evolving with the Shift, then you're going to be constantly generating inner friction - discomfort, as you challenge the old constructs and routines. This friction is necessary, because it's where to go to work on the inner: You keep connecting into the Sacred Ground of Being; you keep touching the tightness and asking - "What's the attachment?"; you keep surrendering into this, until you hit the place of the absolute. But this is not the end of the story - if you truly have touched the absolute, and not some bubble of quasi half-acceptance, then the soul will come through in a powerful new way and invite new ways of living and being in the world.
Be aware, this will challenge the people around you who aren't prepared for change or don't want to - those still stuck in the old Homo sapiens conditioning. These people won't want you to change, because it makes them more comfortable when the world around them is predictable. They'll likely discourage, and even fight you, so that you don't change - because this puts them on the spot. It reflects to them that if they were willing, they could also change.
Go In the Direction of Destiny
So, at this point in the Shift, the growing forces through the field are compelling evolving people to change. First, to change inwardly, but then, to change the old circumstances as we become more authentic. To be clear, at this stage, the only way to fulfillment and a life of meaning and purpose is to go with that - to go in the direction of destiny, with profound self-honesty.
Do be aware of the Imposter Syndrome too. It pops up in all manner of spiritual guises; all manner of reasons why to stay comfortable in the box. Especially, the spiritual one!

Thanks Jen,
To explore this - "Part of the journey through aloneness seems to be confronting the feeling that you will be alone forever with no support, no connections" feels very powerful and deep - and scary!
For sure, it's all a continual work in progress. Interestingly, I've felt the pull to do a 10 day silent Vipassana retreat next month. That'll be a deep exploration of being alone!!!
I send a little air for your glowing ember, love Fiona

Hey Fiona, I have had a vipassana retreat dancing around me for a while now, but up to this point the timing hasn't worked out. I would love to hear more about that when you return, a deep exploration indeed!! =)
Thank you for the stream of cool Avalon air for the ember! I'll remember that when the flame is feeling low <3
With love,
Jen

The more time I spend alone, the more I want to be alone. There's no one there to break your little bubble I find. Funny....
Why? Coz greeting the dawn with others is more enjoyable, and I've never woken up to find anyone else but me pillow next to me. And so I numb myself in solitude forgetting that this be a livable scenario.
Throat hurts now :'(
